Why Halo 3 is just awfulI

Listen, Halo 3 is almost exactly like halo 2. The story still sucks and has a bad ending(there is NO HALO 4, if there was MS would not be a good company to make it since bungie owns Frank O connor and the Halo Engine where as MS owns the rights to halo merchandise and Halo Wars, Halo Wars is not a sequel it's a prequel by the way) The graphics are good by not bioshock or Mass Effect. It hasn't gotten any Game of the year awards. Forge? It's been done, FarCry did it better. Save films are for people who aren't geeks and can't hook up there own console monitor. I give it an 8 still though for the good online and the cool online modes. So it sucked still because of the over hyping.

P.S. I am not a ps3 fanboy, I have a Gamertag and a 360

eh, it may have not been a perfect game and issomewhat similar to the Halo 2... but what did you expect?
it's not the best, I wouldn't be calling it awful though.

It's still a lot of fun online... and the graphics arn't bad.

Halo 3 is a great game.

for start, it is a next gen game, the graphics are good.

the story is good

the campaign mode play is good there is a lot of replayability in the game. then there is online play.

Halo 3 is not original that is why it is called halo 3. To say halo 3 is the same as halo 3 is just uneducated garbage and is like saying all driving games are the same because you drive a car in all of them.

your opinion on the game is valued and makes the internet a great place to communicate with other people. the above comments are my opinions.

By what I hear it's mopstly 8 year olds and Frat boys on most of the time, that's why mass effect rules by the way, it had an okay sized marketing campaign outside of gamers and it was a true gamers game.

It's also the most played xbox game because......wait, isn't gears still beating it? whatever, if it is #1 it's because the XBOX Live list of Multiplayergames has 3 this season(that are new)TF2(which plays better on PC), COD4, and the aforementioned HALO 3

I will give bungie props for the skull idea though, there like easter eggs for lasy people, I just wish I didn't have to play through the whole game again to get them all, seriously, I did it once, got a skull, twice and I realize I haven't finished the fight but have only enlisted for duty!

Also the way the Captain dies and the Johnson dude dies seem pretty brief not nearly as groundbreaking as thought.

ummm halo 3 very similar to halo 2? IMO halo2 maps where much better than the ones on 3

I don't think its the best game ever played, but I had many hours of fun with it. Plenty of online enjoyment, and it had a good story. I don't regret buying it. I just didn't waste my money on all the different version of it. Bought the basic game.

Halo 3 isn't exactly like Halo 2. There are some distinctions between the two. Overall I wasn't too impressed with the way Halo 3 turned out. I think many people (myself included) were expecting, I don't know, something more. But to its credit, it does give you the same solid gaming goodness we've come to expect.

You explain why it is awful, then you give it an 8? Which on gamespot is "Great".
