Why halo: ODST is a good thing.

I recently purchased an xbox 360. Now, I have 1 game and won't have enough money for another until 2 or 3 days after ODST comes out. This game will definitly be perfect for me, because it will keep me occupied for a long time, AND I won't have to buy all halo and all the map packs and stuff. So, for any new players this is a perfect game because it opens up the halo universe without having to download the map packs.

well i guess that's one good thing about it.

that is a good reason for new players, but i find with each passing day that halo 3 online becomes increasingly frustrating with the goddamned host advantage

I think it's great even for those that already have Halo 3.

Brand new campaign, with a more open structure. The storytelling is less linear. Has online co-op as well as Firefight.

What's not to like there?

Bonus: has the full Halo 3 mulitplayer in it, including all the downloadable map packs released so far.
