I don't really understand why its 1200MP for new multiplayer maps and a zombie map.I think 800MP would be more reasonable.

Does anyone else agree?

Most people will buy it for 1200 msp. Activision makes way more money that way you know. Activision is pure greed.

The same reason they produced Black Ops and it was just a mish mash of MW2 and World at War, amirite? I ended up trading my copy in recently because I never played it anymore and it was a waste of space for me. Also, I've NEVER bought a CoD DLC because they're always obnoxiously expensive.

The sad thing was that 800 points used to be the norm for DLC, but 1200? I'd never pay $15 for these maps..

The thing I don't understand is that Halo Reach charges 800 points for 3 measly maps, Black Ops charges 1200 for 5 maps (4 multiplayer and one zombie) yet I don't hear nearly as many people complaining about Halo. Sure Black Ops sold more copies so there are more peopel to complain, but the gamer is getting more for your money with the BO maps than with Halo ones. You can really get a lot of mileage out of the zombie maps.

Simply because people will buy it no matter what. It could cost $20 for 3 maps and people would get it because it says CoD on it.

I never complain about Halo DLC because their DLC actually does on sale sometimes. I got all the Reach maps while they where half off. I've never seen Call of Duty DLC in any type of sale. CoD 4 map pack is still the same price, that game is how old?

Activision is a company. A company's goal is to make profit. The people who make the decisions about DLC pricing probably have some idea about high-school level economics theory "supply and demand". If the "demand" for something such as a CoD map pack is high then they can set the prices really high because they control the only "supply". High demand = high price to maximize profits. They are not evil or greedy. They are just smart businessmen. If you don't like the prices they are charging then don't buy the map pack. This will decrease the "demand" and if enough people do it they will lower the price. Good luck with that.

People buy them. I know I ton of people who bought the first one because it had a new map for that crappy zombie mode. Activision may seem evil, but they know what they're doing.

What? The only Halo Reach map pack that has gone on sale is the Noble map pack and it JUST went on sale this week. The defiant map pack is fairly new, and is still full price so you couldn't have gotten it on sale. I'm not defending the price of COD map packs but I do find it funny that you get less with Halo and nobody complains.

Halo = 800MSP/3 maps = 267 MSP per map

COD = 1200MSP/5 maps = 240 MSP per map

COD map packs are the better value, plus you can get so much gaming time out of the zombie maps. Most importantly I've heard a lot of users complaining that the Halo Reach DLC maps aren't well incorporated into the other playlists, meaning they never pop up as an option when voting in the lobby. With the COD maps I frequently see the DLC maps in every playlist.

Yeah the Noble is on sale for the first time now, but you can get the Defiant map pack and receive 400 MS points if you're a Xbox rewards member.

I actually think it's ok. 3 bucks for each map is not so terrible if like me you're gonna play these maps hundreds of times. I boycotted MW2's DLC, but this is more reasonable.

This is what I did...got the Noble pack half off, then purchased the Defiant pack full price, but since I bought it during a special deal for the Rewards members, I got 400 MS points back, so I essentially got them both half off. Not a bad deal :)

Unfortunatley people are stupid enough to pay over the top prices for an overrated game untill people see sense this will continue time and time and time again.
