The DLC is one reason and the general quality of the game is another reason. I have 3 copies of GTA: IV (PC, 360, and PS3) and have to say the PC is the best and PS3 is the worst, with the 360 being a nice compromise between the two. The frame-rate for the PS3 version is awful with slowdowns all the time and sometimes drops that make the game near unplayable. Also, the graphics are much worse and the controls make the game handle worse than a shopping cart with 3 wheels._Pinbot_You have not listed a single valid point why some are turned off by GTA4. Graphics are just fine on PS3 version. And there is nothing wrong with the controls. As far as the expansion Lost & Damned, why would anybody hate GTA4 because of some DLC? If they don't like GTA4, you think some DLC is going to change their mind? Maybe people dislike GTA4 because it was a boring game, and overall disapointing, but, not a bad game by any means.

They are just bitter that the game doesn't work well on the PS3 so they blame the game not the overly complex console with a lack of sufficient video RAM to keep a stable frame-rate. I think they should blame RockStar instead because they are the ones who released the piece of **** to the public. I feel sorry for those who have only the PS3 version as their main._Pinbot_I'm guessing that the PC version is superior if you have a extremely well-built PC.

Extremely well could be an understatement.:P

You ever stopped to think they might bash the game and new DL content because they secretly loved the game and bash it publicly because they are bitter they cant access the Lost and the damned ? Just a guess..
I was tooling around on the forums earlier this week and noticed how much hate GTA 4 is getting on the Ps3 forums.. I wonder if this has to do with the exclusive downloadable content for Xbox 360 ?? It was getting really ugly at times.. They were saying that they hated the game anyways and who cares if they cant get the DL content.. Found it strange..celebateu kno its cause of the dlc.. haha QQ!!!!!!!!
You have to realise that most PS3 owners are already bitter because they got a PS3 expecting it to be the best console ever (or because they are Sony Fanboy's) and then they find out they've been ripped off. Then there's the pride of most of us male's where you can't admit you've made a mistake, so instead of getting rid of that gameless brick, they just stick with it for the few good games they actually have and sit by while the 360 uses M$ insanely deep pockets to get exclusives (if you don't include PC, there's TONS) and now they find that even multi-platform games have more content on the 360.
That's a big enough kick in the gut but then you have to process the fact that the most powerful console out there, can't even run games as well as the 360... it really is just too much for them to deal with, so they have no choice but to try and drag down anything slightly connected to the 360. They harped on the RROD for all it was worth but now that problem is fading into history so they are stuck with paying for XBL and their precious Blu Ray.
So now, while the 360 owners are playing the greatest games out there and having fun, they are stuck complaining about the gaming world in any way they can, because you can only play MGS so many times. Don't hate them... pity them my son.
lol, just a little fun there, I had a PS3 and it wasn't for me, got rid of it for a 360 and I think it is a much better system for me. The negativity for GTA was mainly because it was a great game but didn't quite live up to expectations IMO. People tend to have extreme views online so they either hate it or love it... not much middle ground.
