why is mass effect so great?

just wondering, ill admit im a cow, but i do have a 360 and am havent been to happy with it, since i dont like halo and most other exclusive 360 games. and i was wondering what are the highlights that make mass effect so good since im thinking of getting it. and yes im to lazy to read up on it. im not big on rpg's but this game looks more of a shooter to me so i like that. like how much free-roaming is in it, can you go anywhere and do anything or are you forced to go a certain path

You can explore all the other planets if you want and u can do what you want to. I think the game will eventually end on its own, they said that the game will be up to 20 hours if you do the missions and if you dont its more than double that. Your actions in the game have an effect on everything.

If I were to explain everything about the game to you right here it would take forever, and you and I would be bored to death, so lets just say, put together Gears of War combat with KOTOR/Jade Empire story depth and enough free roaming to keep you happy. As well as a deep and interesting conversation system and several romance paths.

I would get the game if you like RPG's. The game is a MUST buy for anyone who liked KOTOR or just like RPG's in general.

I would recommend this game to anyone. It would get a 10 in my book.

i never played any bioware game before so i dont know what to expect, hell i guess ill buy it. lol it be the first time in 3 months my 360 has been on. i really only keep it because i want banjo3, and slim hope i have of a conker2. but thanks guys ill read some reviews on it when i get home today.river_rat3117

For some reason, Sci-Fi RPG's are a rare breed of game. Thats why Im so hyped for it.

I do understand the joke but its random as it really has nothing to do with this topic.

I'm buying a 360 just for Mass Effect, if that's any indication- Bioware games have always satisfied my RPG cravings.
