Why isn't there a game like Diablo on the console?

Diablo 2 is probably one of my favorite games on the PC. I've waited and waited for asimilar game (equal in caliber)to show its face, but it hasn't happened. I've played games like sacred 2, but it just doesn't cut it. Does anyone else share my frustration?

I think it can be done. I mean, I though Sacred 2 had the right thought process, but they didn't add the polish like a blizzard game would have.

Borderlands is also pretty similar, even though it's an FPS.

ummm i'm pretty sure sacred 2 didn't have the SPEED that diablo had. think about the sorc vs sorc battles? or a charger paladin? how do you control that with a console? no other games have the speed of diablo 2

sacred 2 and a new xbla games is coming wizardy or something

It's an insult to Diablo to say Sacred 2 is like it. :P

Diablo 2 is much more engaging. Sacred 2 just seemed so bland and rough around the edges. I think it can be done on a console, but you lose a lot of the strategy that you can do with a PC.

Divinity 2 is an ace RPG for 360 but doesn' have the same game mechanics as Diablo.

Blizzard is considering porting D3 to consoles, but they will do it only if it plays well. By the way Diablo is the real star for me. Back in the day it was so far ahead of anything else. D2 refined the game and made it more popular, but the basics were already laid out.

Same as RTS and MMO's it just dont fit to the console.

This is rather extreme but that mentality is that of the critics saying we couldn't land on the moon. Anything can be done and it can be done well. Wasn't there people saying that a FPS couldn't be done as well on a console? I'm not bashing anyone, I am just hopeful for a game like Diablo on the console. And no, Borderlands and Sacred 2 aren't like Diablo. Give methe gear, trading, multiplayer, and story that Diablo has.
