Why people like Halo?

Let's see:

-A lame main character with the personality of a brick and despite that, he's grouped with elites like Mario, Sonic, Snake etc.

-A story about some lone space hunter hunting down aliens with a highly advanced battlesuit (Metroid so didn't do that)

-Boring gameplay with zero innovation (LOL you can dual wield, never saw that in Goldeneye 64)

-Did I mention that your 360 will most likely die before you finish the game?

Most people try to show off their good side on their first forum post, im intrigued that you chose otherwise.....

As for Halo, good for you for having your own opinion, just remember that is all it is YOUR opinion and most people probably don't care about it.

-You and many others don't know that the books tell all the holes of the series. He was brought to the UNSC when he was 6 with about 200 others. He was the leader early on. All the others died so he was forced to carry on without them, wich took a toll on him and his personality. I don't even play Halo but it is pretty fun, just to fast. I like the story though.

Halo 3 is a great game. I own a PS3 and it's better than anything I've played on PS3. There's a reason people say things like "Killzone 2 is the Halo killer". It's because Halo is an awesome series and developers wish they could make a game anywhere near as good.

IMO the only thing that comes close is IW's Call of Duty games. Close but not quite.

Yep, couldnt agree more. There's a reason why Halo does so well, and it sure "ain't" luck or a modern day miracle. It's an excellent game. When you're that great, you'll always have haters. That's the bottom line. Just sweep them under the rug and move foward.
