On my xbox some times the controller light goes to controller 2 and then switches back to controller 1 light?

Has anyone else had this happen and what does it mean.

No idea. Never happened to me.

Maybe some kind of radiation interference messing with the established link. Not like Gamma rays, I mean, like infared or radio or something.

How does the controller link up with the console? Infared? Bluetooth? The controller does have a non-line-of-sight abilty anda 30ft radius just like BT.

Do you mean the light on the controller or on the actual console? If its on the controller it might just be the battery-life going down a bar (it flashes the 1+4 light and 2+3 lights alternating for a few seconds to indicate the battery has gone down 1 bar, then goes back to normal).
