wife and kids take over my xbox with kinect..

I don't know about some of you other guys with families, but before yesterday the xbox was mine to do and play as I want with. Now since I got kinect my kids are dying to get on after school to play kinectimals or kinect adventures. Then my wife has to excersise with Your Shape: Fitness Evolved. By the time everyone is playing I might get a few minutes on the xbox before bed.

Anyone else in the same situation?

Yeah, I can see that happening with Kinect. My parents used to have the same problem while I was growing up. They had to buy the three of us kids our own console (Nintendo) and pretty much the main consoles (Atari/Nintendo) stayed in the living room and it was used mostly by my father (who influenced me the most at a young age).

So, I think you might want to buy a seperate console for them to share in the living room (maybe something to think about for christmas?) and keep your own machine to play in another room (or the living room if you don't mind the noise). I know that when I have friends over I'll ask them to bring their own X360 since I mainly use a projector and I also have a small television in the living room.

My son is 3-1/2, and the damn sensor is hit or miss for detecting him correctly. On 20,000 leaks it shows his avatar on his knees unless he is standing in the perfect spot, but in racketball it works fine for him. Oh, and the JoyRide demo works for him also. He loves it.

No, I'm not having any issues with them hoarding my 360 because my son goes to bed at 8pm,and my wife has her own 360, so we just play Kinect together for a little while and then switch over to our own 360's.

I suspect that might change once I buy Dance Central. I was trying the demo the other night, and she actually paused her game on her 360 to watch me try it out. I loathe anything to do with Lady Gaga... but I must say that "Pokerface" is pretty catchy, lol.
