Will Gears of War 2 beat Halo 3???

The ONLY good thing about Halo 3 was the story mode that took 5 minutes to beat.

Instead of doing more with the story, enhancing any graphics, or doing anything else that does any benefit to this horrible installment, they add "Record footage that no one cares about." What a waste of programming.

Gears 2 is adding more footage, adding more features, doing more with the graphics, doing everything better.

Let us all not forget the best thing of all... no little kiddies dancing around like chickens with their heads cut off with a "Jump" button.

Keep in mind, there are more "touchdown celebration" finishers in Gears of War 2 to embarass your opponents. I can tell you right now (from playing Gears of War online) that there will be quite a few idiots on LIVE, cussing you out while they smash you in with their sniper rifle.

Many of us are going to be grinding our teeth and throwing empty bottles all over the place. :P

I just find halo to be dull. I dont think its a bad shooter, I just am bored by it.

Gears appeals to me, while others hate it.

Personally, I like both games. But if you have to ask which I like more? That would Gears of War. Master Chief is one of my top favorites. Halo has shown in sales that it can compete time and time again. Halo 2 and Halo 3 each sold 8+million copies. Gears of War sold about 4 million as of June 2008. There's no doubt that Halo 3 beat Gears of War in sales, and both showed strong numbers on Xbox Live over the months and years. Gears of War 2, I predict will sell more than Gears of War. I say around 4-6 million in a shorter time period. And I cant wait for the next Halo (universe) game. ;)Elann2008

Quality: Ofcourse. I like Halo 3 but Gears of War blows it out of the water for me. Gears 2 will probably do the same.

I dont care about sales man. Did you not see my avatars? I could have walked into this thread and spit Gears of War fanboyism but I didnt. I was clearly stating the facts and my prediction. If you came up to me and asked me what game I like more, I would say Gears of War and Gears of War 2, hands down. But that wasn't what I came in here to say. I like Halo 3 too even though it was a disappoint, but I would rather put something like that in my blog. Appreciate the comment though.

Im sorry, well actually Im not, but Gears of War is horrible game. It utterly fails as a shooter from the campaign to the competitive modes. Gears of War 2 looks more of the same with an added feature and some new guns. Halo 3 has one of the biggest fanbases. I highly doubt Gears 2 will surpass it overall. Sure it will have a huge population on it at first, but give it 3-5 months and see if it will remain as strong. Think about this, why is everyone always making shooter verse threads against halo 3?
