So xbox live renewed my xbox live for a year automatically. I did not know this until later when i got an email about it. They also sent me an email saying that i have been given 200 odd points pending for a full year of xbox live. Well my credit card i used for xbox live was cancled because someone stole my cards number. Xbox live just noticed this and told me to put in a different card or i would lose my gold membership. Well i just bought a 1 year subscription off amazon and plan to just use that since it was 20 dollars cheeper.SO my question is Will they take away those reward points they gave me? Or will they credit me even more points?
It won't let you use that 1 year you bought from amazon until you enter a new credit card and they get their money, happened to my friend but he used a pre-paid credit card that didnt have enough money on it so they took his gold away until he entered a valid credit card, so he just went and bought a 1 year card and tried to enter it but it wouldnt let him use that either until he entered a valid credit card number.

Same thing happened on mine, but it was just that my credit card expired and I never updated it on their system. I bought a pre-paid card and now I am set through 2012, because I had to enter my credit card information on there to do anything... oh well, I saved a few bucks as it has gone up to $60 for 12 months. But honestly, that's kind of a scam on Microsoft's part.
One tip for first gime gold users BUY PRE-PAID CARDS!@!@!@ If you do use your credit card on a deal microsoft is doing Turn off automatic renewal right away, turn that @#$% off right away trust me lol, but just go with pre-paid cards there hassel free.
