My tribe gives me a $1000 on my birthday. If I spent a $1000 on 360 games in one checkoutwould everybody think I have no life?

surely there are better things to spend a grand on than video games? I would buy at most 1 game, then spend the rest on other stuff, maybe take the girl out for dinner, or some new clothes...

I would. Why on Earth would you spend that much money on games? I could understand if you bought a new system and a game for around $300-$400 but $1000, no way.Depends on your financial situation ^^ If you have enough money anyway, I don't think it's all that sad, but if it's like all you have, I'd say it's sad
Depends how old you are.

True that. Hobby is one thing, spend $1000 in games is another. :?
I have nothing to pay since I live with my parents. I think im going to do it. I dont see what else I could spend it on.

I'd pick out a couple games you really want and get them. Maybe save some of that money for games later in the year too when the holiday rush hits.CNUrGamesExactly, buy 2-3 for now...then you can slowly buy more as you need them. Buying in bulk is not a good idea, and besides by the time you start finishing a couple, some of the ones you already bought will have had price drops.
maybe one or 2 that I really wanted. But I'd take most of that 1K and put it right into my Car fund.
assumming you all buy them at once at 60 dollars a game,
getting 16 games isn't a very good idea you couldn't have as much fun as if you bought each one at a time.
that idea is a million times better then spending $1000 at onceI think I will just buy one game at a time, beat one buy one.

Who cares it's your money.. Buy whatever you want and enjoy it although that will be pretty worthless just buy one or two at a time and put the rest in the bank. Over time you'll buy more games at a cheaper price so more bang for your buck.
He's probably Native American.. I have a few friends that are and they are beyond rich.Your tribe??? Elaborate please.

Yes its a little much spending 1000$ in one time to the store on games, but in the end its UP TO YOU.
Someone else might spend $1000 on new rims for there car, someone else might spend the $1000 on hockey cards, someone else on some new music equpment or studio time and someone else might spend it on a new sound system for there house, so in the end JUST DO YOU man.
Who cares what others think.
spend $200 on games(get the LE versions of the games since you can afford it and have money to burn)... then $800 on an HDTV, IF you already have an HDTV, save that extra $800 for yourself to get snacks, a surround sound system, game posters(trick your room out), bean bags, juice hats, etc.
man I wish I had $1000 to blow right now, I JUST now came back from Chase bank depositing $180 into my account to get me out of the RED... :(
