Here's what I would do if I live with my family. I would pimp my room, get a nice TV, recliner & soundsystem. This way I don't have to get out of my room when I'm playing games bec. I have everything in my room.
Well,it would be kind of weird if you bouht that many games at once,so as other people said buy one,beatt it,go in buy another but save some money for the holiday rush.If you still have money buy a cheap flat panel or maybe a new system.
And man i dont think you have no life just because you want to play and buy ALOT of games i just think that it wouldn't be smart buying them all at once but if you really like gaming that much then no i don't think you have no life cuz lots of people would do the same thing and it's your money,do whatever you want.

Who freaking cares what they think. If that's what you want to do, go for it man! Its only crazy to people who don't understand. I definitely understand though.
first.why do u care what a bunch of random people think.and second.theres no reason to spend that much unless u plan on buying a decent pc or some of the systems.just spend what u actually really want for gaming.and keep the rest to spend on something else.
Personally, I'd do whatever makes me happy. If you really enjoy video gaming, go ahead, spend 1 grand on video games, but I'd recommend spreading it out over a period of time because of all the new releases that come out throughout the year. Maybe you should set yourself a limite on how much you're going to spend or how many games you're gonna get each month and if you know a game you like is gonna be coming out, just put that money off to the side. If you plan it out right, you could also invest that 1 grand in a certificate of deposit for like 1-3 months to get a little bit of more spending money. That way you have more money coming from the 1 grand you received and you get more games. Killing two birds with one stone =)
Ok seriously they would look at you yes. I reckon you should save it and buy one amazing game a month (be that a new or old game). Spend the rest on a new PC or something awsome!

Yeah don't go out and spend it on current lineup, preorder the big time games first.
bank it, you will save loads of money if you intend to blast it all on games by buying a few now and when you want new ones get them when they are needed, usually this will save money because when u need them they will cost less as games only go down in price
Look at the release schedule for this year and early next year. You'll be way better served by waiting for some new games to come out first. Budget the money out and pick out which games you REALLY want. If you do it right and pick the games you want really bad, you could probably stretch that money out in video games until you get your next thousand for your next birthday :lol:

He could definitely do that if he just go to the right places. 32" HDTVs doesn't cost that much nowadays. Of course it's money he didn't earn so the odds of spending it just like that are high. The value of money can only be known once you have earned it yourself. I almost cried when I received my 1st paycheck & I didn't want to spend it except for necessary things.
If you are gonna spend 1000$ on games don't friggin spend it all at once! Buy one or two games at a time so the money will last longer and you will feel betterrr... Anyways I suggest that if you don't have anything else to spend it on right now, wait a bit. There will be something expensive that you really wanna get in the near future. Then you will have loads of money and you can get it!!! :P
I'd say $300-$400 on games (depending on which ones, how many you're getting, and how many you already have) alone is the bare maximum. Exceeding that range is just absurd. Use the money for other things, man.
Oh and just like someone said before me, a HDTV and maybe a home theatre would be a great choice! I have a 22" HDTV in my room and I'm really happy because I actually earned the money to buy it myself!!! And I don't need a bigger screen because I play really close to the TV. I don't have a home theatre so I use headphones, but a home theatre would be awesome! So why don't you get one and then I can be jealous because you have a home theatre and I don't. :P

Yes. Chooce the games you REALLY wanna buy. For me this year they are Halo 3 ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Splinter Cell Conviction. And then the rest I will buy will be older games that I don't have yet. For example R6V2, and COD WAW.
Its not about how people look at you, its about the fact that you have a tremendous amount of money that can be put to much better use.
I really think if you spend it ALL on video games you'll regret it.
If I had that kind of money Id buy a nice Bass guitar, Or maybe a high quality fishing rod or something else to enjoy that doesnt coop you up in your room. You cant possibly be entertained by ONLY video games.
