What this guy said, IF you were to buy a 360 for just L4D, it wouldn't be worth it, but Mass Effect is a great game, and you will likely find more you will enjoy.

TBH no, buying a console to paly two games is a wste of money but if you were to buy other games say fable 2, geow 1/2, halo3, splinter cell conviction, alan wake etc then I would reccomend it.
Get it. And you will eventually find a lot of exclusives you can enjoy. l4d and mass effect are great but not enough to waste your money just for em. in the end the money is yours therefore the decision is yours. do what you got to do

I bought my 360 for one game and ended up finding other games that interest me.
I wouldn't buy an X Box 360 for two games. After you finish or grow tired of playing those two games your X Box 360 will become a useless brick unless you want to play DVDs.
No console is worth it for 2 games, but if you can find other games that you want it will start to be a worthwhile purchase. My usual rule of thumb is you need to find 6 games that you really want and wouldn't be able to play unless you bought the console. Since you already have a PS3 it would have to be games that are either exclusive to 360, or are also available on PC but not PS3.
