Well, Im getting my modded xbox back in a few days, along with my normal one, and I now am firmly against piracy (in video games) but I did have a collection of pirated games before i had XBL as it seemed odd that I would pay full price for 1/2 the features. I've wisened up now, but suppose the industry decided to kick you in the balls and charge $100 a game (or equivalent down under) or start reducing the quality, would you turn to piracy, or just give up gaming.
i really like owning games, i like to have the cases and the booklets and everything, but if something drastic happened like the prices being ramped up, I'd probably just stop playing, games are more than they used to be here (in the UK) and consiquently i buy less games, especially now i'm a student with no job lol. SO it wouldn't take a major push to get me to stop playing brand new games all together, i don't like the idea of pirated games or films for that matter.
Well, I live in the UK too (And i'm a student - yay poverty!) But I think i'd continue for a bit, then stop, see if the industry can get back on its feet
I wouldn't support it at all. I think it's an incredible insult to designers everywhere, knowing that they worked tirelessly for years on a game, only to have some guy come around, rip a copy and sell it for a mere fraction and make money for doing absolutely nothing.
