Would you get Halo 5 or Forza 6 console?

Halo 5 console is about $60 overprice. Forza 6 console is a no brainer since it the same price as the regular Xbox.

Value wise, the Forza 6 console is the way to go as you noted.

Honestly, I would get neither. I'm not into racers nor 343's games just yet. I own two of 343's games, but they haven't won me over. Forza is a good series if you like racing for sure.

I would say that Turn 10 (Forza Dev) >>>>>>>> 343 (newest Halo dev) big time, but alas I am not into racers nor am I a huge fan of .343's products so far.

I already have an Xbone though which I got at launch 2013.

If pushed into a corner, I would wait for a cooler, better bundle like maybe 2016's Scalebound (if that gets a bundle) or Quantum Break (whenever that releases since Remedy take a long time per game, as of this post they are supposedly releasing it next year). Maybe even a GeoW Themed Xbone assuming the new developer is up to snuff with GeoW 4, the Coalition's first real new videogame.

If Halo 5 is anything like Halo 4, you will see the price plummet on that Halo 5 Bundle. They say it's limited, but I saw tons of Halo 4 Collector's Edition merchandize including Halo 4 360 consoles 25-50% and more only a few months after Halo 4 shipped. 343 is no Bungie.

Perhaps I would go with something more timeless like a cool James Bond/Star Wars/Star Trek/Marvel/DC themed Xbone, if they ever get one out.

Thanks for the reply. I like racing games a lot and Forza is on par with Halo and Gears franchise for me. I really wish I could see what all upcoming theme console would look like so it would make choosing the right one much easier but that not possible and not profitable for them. I think Gears has a chance to look better than Halo 5 console. I hate COD but I thought that they put a lot of work in that COD console, everywhere on that console had special paint and decoration on it. Look at the Forza console, the side still use the same basic X1 paintset so they didn't even do much to it. That console should be completely blue all the way around.

Did you see the Disney theme Star Wars console for the PS4? It was disappointing to say the least. They didn't even bother to change the PS4 blue light to red light and Dark Vader only had one white color as his outline. I really want to like Forza console but it not even the same shade of color that is representative of the FORD GT. It also seem from the design off the X1 that they can get away with putting much less work than the 360 since it rigid and not fully flat.

I cancel my pre-order at Gamestop and re-order online because of no tax.

If I didn't already own an Xbone, then yes I would get one of them (probably the Halo one since I'm a fanboy). But I wouldn't swap my current one for either of them. Not worth the $$.

$100 is not much for me in the long run but I feel base on principle alone, I am supporting a company that is exploiting it customer base on a name of a popular franchise. I don't know if I should also pre-order Forza console as well and just cancel it last minute once Youtube had early unboxing off both console.

I'd get the Forza 6 console just because I think it looks really good. Not interested in the game so much, prefer the Horizon series.

I mean if I was in the market for an Xbox One and didn't already have one, then yes I would go with the Forza console as it looks nice in my opinion.

If someone doesn't already have an X1, then I'd go with the Forza X1. If the person already has an X1, I'd keep waiting for 2016's special boxes. Not only should the Gears one be cool, but whatever X1s they bring that late may have 2 TB HDDs in them.

I'm a big fan of both series, I like both consoles but if I had to chose one it would be the Halo 5 console, it looks awesome and just emanates a cool sci-fi vibe imo, and appears to have more work done on it than the F6 one.

Halo 5 as I never played the Forza series before and not really a fan of racing games.

Well, already got an Xbox One last year, got the Assassin's Creed bundle that included Black Flag and Unity, was only $330, and it came with a free game of choice (I chose Far Cry 4, $60 value). That was their Black Friday deal, and I think it lasted a little longer into holiday season. But, if I were in the same position I was last year, I'd go for a Halo 5 bundle myself, or a Gears Ultimate or Halo MCC bundle, without Kinect though, hopefully one of the 1TB systems if I had a choice, and I'd wait until Black Friday so they'd throw some other stuff in like free 1 year XBLG or maybe another game or gift card or something.

They have a lot of console options this year, which I think will serve them well over the holidays giving people options (not sure what final price will be). On the Xbox.com page they have like 7 different bundles right now (Madden 2016, FIFA 2016, Halo 5, Halo MCC (500GB & 1 TB), Gears of War Ultimate, Forza 6, Bound to be some good Black Friday specials too. Plus, I think the bundles will further push sales numbers after holidays. After all, even if it doesn't sell during holidays, because each bundle is a limited time thing, that means after holidays they'll be discounted for liquidation meaning sales will maintain a bit longer on that alone. And there's bound to be a lot of that given there's so many bundles.

Be sure to check out Microsoft Store for their Black Friday deals. They got free shipping too. And last year their sales went up Thanksgiving morning at midnight. website was sketchy as hell, crashed right at the midnight rollover, but after hours of persistence you can get through.

They aren't exploiting anything. In fact, MS is doing the opposite by giving far more choices with bundles and options than I can ever remember anyone doing.

As for which bundle to get, I'd get neither and just get the Elite bundle if I didn't already have an X1. That all said, for a limited time, ANY X1 bundle purchased from the Microsoft store gets two free games added to whatever the bundle already has. If I remember correctly, one of the games is any of your choice. Also, get EA Access when you get an X1. Thirteen games in the vault and counting. :D

Elite bundle is cool but the reason I'm paying for a theme console is exactly the reason why I have no interest in the elite bundle. The elite bundle is not a limited edition console and the SSHD is not an SSD. I would rather wait for the 2TB X1 slim that will probably come with Gears 4 but for the time being, I need an X1 by this year. I'm tire of PC gaming.

The deal is AC: Unity plus a game you'd choose for any bundle. They didn't specifically exclude pre-ordered bundles, so, if they didn't, MS's store has both the Forza and Halo bundles for preorder. Good luck, I hope it's still going.

Halo 5 Xbox One.

I got my (standalone) Forza 6 controller and it's great, I thought the only difference was the color motif and extra input for mic/headphone, but it has this rough surface in the back too, which improves grip.....it's not a big deal or anything, but cool nonetheless as I was not expecting that.

I ended up swapping my old Xbone for the Forza one... and I'm glad I did. It definitely looks nicer in person (the photos don't do it justice).

I wasn't originally going to, but I ended up getting a good deal and it didn't cost me much extra after trade-in.

Value is forza, that halo console looks amazing though. The forza sound effects would irritate me eventually. I wonder is it can be changed?

Purely on looks I'd get the Forza console, but then again I like the game so that's a plus as well.
