My brothers xbox just got the 3 red lights, so i decided to call up microsoft support. When I did I got a guy who was obviously foriegn but could speak english well enough. All I had to was give him my info and serial and he said he would send me a box. What amazed me was that he said the shipping was already paid for with the box and that I would be getting a free month of xbox live!!!
I know that microsoft really shouldnt be having these problems in the first place, but I am extremely impressed by their customer support. The guy was so damn nice and even though I had to have him repeat some things he said, it was extremely painless. I guess maybe I got lucky because I have heard some horror stories, but I just felt the need to post this info so people dont get so discouraged about the whole thing.
Lets just hope I get it back in reasonable time.
