My brothers xbox just got the 3 red lights, so i decided to call up microsoft support. When I did I got a guy who was obviously foriegn but could speak english well enough. All I had to was give him my info and serial and he said he would send me a box. What amazed me was that he said the shipping was already paid for with the box and that I would be getting a free month of xbox live!!!

I know that microsoft really shouldnt be having these problems in the first place, but I am extremely impressed by their customer support. The guy was so damn nice and even though I had to have him repeat some things he said, it was extremely painless. I guess maybe I got lucky because I have heard some horror stories, but I just felt the need to post this info so people dont get so discouraged about the whole thing.

Lets just hope I get it back in reasonable time.

Glad to hear that. I can't bear to imagine undergoing bad CS when you're already having a bad time without your 360.

Customer service has always been great. But when mine broke , I just got their address on the phone and everything . Bought my own box and sent it in on a saturday. I got my new 360 that Friday.

When I sent mine in because of the RROD I got it back in what I thought was a reasonable time, but I sure as hell wasn't impressed with their customer support becuase they sent me a "replacement unit" that had a malfunctioning disk tray. It took a long time to get this second repair back because they coudln't process the repair order immediatly due to the previous repair order not clearing the system. In the end I was without my 360 for 2 and a half months. Not impressed at all.

and ya any one with a messed up xbox gets 1 month gold and all shiping is free for all p[roducts lol

o ya when my av cords broke they sent me 2 lol dont ask lol but ya it was thanks giveing week but i got it1 day after thanksgiveing whitch i called a day befor thanksgiveing iam sure post offices was closed to so it was pretty fast

i spent 2 weeks trying to get through with them and got nowhere luckly argos has a repair policy but it took 2 months when it was estimated 2 weeks -_-
