Wtf have Microsoft done?

Well,It´s not like I can´t play at all,but it´s really messy right now - Kingdom under Fire:CoD worked well...in Co-op it maybe doesn´t have that much effect,but in Halo 3 and CoD4 it´s horrible.BTW I´m from Europe (Germany),so i seems a worldwide problem.A friend of mine called the support (which is usually really good) and reached justa automatic message that XBL got problems and they work on it.

It took almost forever to load Mega Man 9 and the other new XBLA-Game,too.

not only are you completely over reacting to this but you lost all credibilty in your little "ps." there is no such thing as perfection especially in the computer world. im fine not having live for a few days. when i buy a car i dont expect it to run perfectly for as long as i own it.

grow up and get out into the real world. either that or get a job where paying 4 bucks a month doesnt break your bank or get some friends so you have something to do for those incredibly long 48 hours of your life.

I own both a PS3 and 360, and beta tested Live way back in '03, and I would rather have xbox live go down for 2-3 days a YEAR then what i deal with on the PS3 network, I swear to god that thing has a friggin update like once every 3-4 days and it always takes 5-10mins to download and install and most of the time has to be performed before I can play a game or I just disconnect it from online.....its very annoying, Live being down for 1 WHOLE day is not a huge deal, it shouldnt even be an issue, its 1 day a YEAR people that is EXCELLENT service if you ask me...OneLessFinger

Meh, my online works fine.

Im not here to complain about live being down for a day or two, i honestly dont really care I have plenty to do besides play videogames, and they DO give you a free 13th month when you buy a year subscription so this is all covered really, youre not losing any money.

anyway, i just have a Q...exactly what did the monday update do?

Because according to what i read, monday was down and was planned to be down for an update and to prepare the servers (im guessing for the new dashboard) but ive also read that it was a "background update" to prepare for the new dashboard. i didnt get any update screen or anything when i signed in again on tuesday once it was working. so idk if it really was an update to the system or just the servers?

also, why was it down today? (earlier today/late last night...idk if its working now i havent been on yet today)

just problems, or more updating and fixing?

and when is the new dashboard coming out????

Men, i don't know if its my service, but not pass a day without problems whit live, some little(freezes), some very big(DLC damaging profile), so if u think that i'm wrong, i really sorry, but that's my feelings.:|MadnusXXL

Huge maintanence is a laugh. They didn't do anything. When the new dashboard comes, then you can call it a "huge maintanence". Until then, I will keep loling.

My games have all been puchased with this xbox, WHY WOULD I HAVE TO TRANSFER THE LICENSE IF I BOUGHT I ON THIS XBOX? I just purachased braid before the update.. so you don't make sense, I already knew about the license transfer crap, THATS THE SAME BS microsoft support said to me... do you work for them?

Funny, my PS3 usually never has connection problems. Only issue I get is my internet crashes for 5 minutes at 8:56 pm every night, but that's my internet service, and not my PSN.

I hope this update gets fixed soon. I want to play Gears of War online when I get a 360 this Friday. (And LIVE and PSN are on par with each other, fyi. LIVE is now just as good as PSN and anyone who says that LIVE doesn't lag are fooling themselves. PSN is a quality service, that doesn't have updates nearly as often as you may think.)

I've played several games after the update and have had no problems. =-)
