i dont know why it would scratch your disc unless there are like rings around your disc. a ring would be because the disic wasn't in the tray properly which is caused by moving the xbox with a game in it, or like throwing the disc into the tay like a frisbee.Â
the whole strach thing is mostly if ur 360 is vertical and its beacuse the drive is really fast..12x or something..meaning the disc spins faster meaning that anything that touches it will scratch it.....have u ever had a disc without any iscratches?!?!.....i remenber when my 360 destroy my first copy of pgr3...well that was thanks also to a unstable table which moved the 360 a little side ways enough to hear the scratch happening.,....:cry:
