xb360 controller for use with PC won't shut off

the little green lights around the home button just keep flashing even if I turn off the computer or unplug the adapter thing from my computer is this supposed to do this behavior or what? How do I shut the thing off?

It's wireless and the only way I know to shut it off is removing & replacing the battery pack.

Yup, thats pretty much what I do. Also though, after about 10min of it just idling(no buttons on the controller being pressed) it will turn off itself.

lol I'll reiterate what has been said, take out the battery pack or let it idle. It will shut off after 5-10 minutes.

I use my 360 controller with my PC games if I can. I really don't like using the KB&M.
