Lost odyssey is the best. It has an extremely good story,great characters,long story,dreams are beautiful,great voice acting,i really enjoy turn-based combat,bosses are epic,and etc.

He also can't accept the fact that it wasn't made by Square Enix. Lost Odyssey is not 'okay', it's the best JRPG I've played all gen. Not sure if it's the best 360 game but it's definitely the best JRPG.

to be honest i have never played the game. it's just that for square enix to make a so-so rpg just doesnt compute with me. I guess Im used to the final fantasy awesomeness that made what square enix what it is today

you should. No offense to Lost Odyssey, but Chrono Trigger raised the bar for rpgs. you should definitely try it out. if you are a big fan of jrpgs, you will love this game

There is no single best game because they all have their pros and cons. But the top games would be (in no specific order):
Mass Effect, Assasins Creed, Gears of War (1 and 2), Fallout 3, Oblivion, GTA IV

I still find it pointless, because there are far too many good games to list and even then, there is a recommendation topic for the top games.

Oh none taken i know LO is not the best JRPG ever but a really good one and the best on the xbox 360. I'm actually really excited about getting Chrono trigger.
LO was a great game, wouldn't think of putting it above Chrono Trigger, it just doesn't have the charm. That game will go down in history as one of my very favorites. Memories...
The very best overall game for the 360 would be Gears of War hands down. When it came out the step up in the graphics it displayed were astonishing. I remember playing on my Playstation 2 slim and seeing this game. I though JesusTihity F#cking Christ! That looks so real, but i think that overall it is the single best game out for the Xbox 360.

It is the BEST Jrpg this gen, and its by Mistwalker, not Square Enix. Anyway best game is Bioshock or Gears 2 IMO

I think the reason a lot of people dont like Halo 3 is that they never played the first 2, and jumped in with Halo 3 cus of the hype, so they were expecting so much, that it ended up being a let down. I personally did not play Halo 1 or 2 (although I plan to soon). I liked Halo but not as much as some people. I think campaign was better than multiplayer persoanlly. just my opinion

LOL. Mistwalker is NOT a branch of Square Enix. It's a completely different company, the only link is that Sakaguchi use to work at Square Enix but left to for Mistwalker and took away some of Square Enix's people. Sure it has people who worked on Final Fantasy (Nobou) but it is no way a 'branch' of Square Enix.

That's a good way to look at it. Personally, I played Halo and Halo 2 on release day for the original Xbox and I loved them both. Then, I played Halo 3 which is a great game, and I beat the SP on the first night. However, I didn't play the MP as much as I played Halo 2's MP, because there were a lot of other games (i.e. COD4) that were awesome. I think if Halo 3 was released earlier, a lot more people would be playing it. But, even now, a lot of people are still playing the game, which is amazing.

I am not sure I would say it is the best, but it is up there. Amazing game.
