Gears of War 1 , its graphics and action are unparrallel'd and put the 360 on the map when it hit shelves . then i'd say Gears 2 , Dead Space and so on , its all opinion after Gears 1.

There are tons of badass games. Mass Effect, Bioshock, Gears, Soulcalibur 4, GTA IV, just to name a few. The ones I've spent the most time on are Lost Odyssey and Soulcalibur 4. Like crack, those games are.

Yes... To fully appreciate the story you must beat the first Gears multiple times to fully understand, look up the history of Sera and everything online, and read the book. After doing all that, you will understand the story.

Why do people like Gears of War? At best it's the third best shooter on the 360 behind COD4 and Halo 3, It's barely as good as Cod5 and Cod2 is a better game than either gears games. But as for the actual topic it would have to be either COD4 or Oblivion, Oblivion because it just has so much to do in it that you can spend 100 hours playing it and not see everything or COD4 because it's the best FPS of all time.
My favorite game is still Gears of War 1. From the first day I played it, the game left such an impression on me that I'll never forget and to this day it's still my favorite game for the system. Sadly..2 was abysmal.
I'm quite biased, but, definitely SF4 for me. As it has been able to keep my interest through hundreds of hours of gameplay. Outside of the fighting genre, hm, I'd put Bioshock in a close second, just out of the sheer epicness of the experience.

He also can't accept the fact that it wasn't made by Square Enix. Lost Odyssey is not 'okay', it's the best JRPG I've played all gen. Not sure if it's the best 360 game but it's definitely the best JRPG. Well it was developed by Mistwalker which is a branch off of Square Enix. It has many of the hard working people that made final fantasy and co.
That still doesn't mean that the game was made by Square-Enix. They had absoluitely nothing to do with Lost Odyssey. I will say that it is a fantastic game though and I enjoyed my time with it.
However, I think Halo 3 is the best game available on the 360. I just keep playing it while other games I play through once or maybe twice and put them away, I just can't stop playing Halo 3 in all it's playmodes. Good stuff.
I didn't think Lost Odyssey was that good... The story was lame (although the dream sequences were good) and the game didn't really add anything interesting for the genre battle-wise. The skill system was more annoying than anything. By the time I was 2/3 through the game I just wanted it to be over.
