So today I booted up my Xbox and looked at my game rack filled head-to-toe with video games, but none of them appealed to me, and so I just sat in my chair staring at them and trying to get myself in the mood to play one, but I just couldn't! Have you guys ever experienced that? Jeez, I cant remember the last time I've been completley addicted to an Xbox game that I couldn't get off,( the last time was probably Gears 2 back in November)and man do I crave for that feeling right now. Its just seems that the 360's going through a Game depression period right now, and there arent many games to look forward to this year other than COD MW2.

Yes, lately i've been in a gaming rut as well. I have plenty of xbox 360 games that I haven't even touched yet because my brother bought them, and i recently got RE5 as well. I can't choose one game to play, because usually it feels like i have better things to do, when really. all i do is sit on my computer when i'm bored doing nothing and gaming actually is more productive than that. However, when I do manage to get up and turn on my xbox with a game...I cannot last longer than two hours before I get bored and eventually quit. I do have a craving for games but i'm never in to them anymore. Maybe it's just the list of games 360 has to offer...

I know exactly how you feel. I was going to make a thread but you beat me to it, lol. I own over 50 something games and I am pretty much bored of all of them. With hardly any new games coming out that are catching my eye I've been just trying to purchase the games that I've missed out on. Overall though I've been very bored of my box.

If your stuck for choice at the moment concerning your 360, get your original xbox back out of it's box and play through a game that you haven't played for years.. you may be suprised how refreshing it can be !

I've been in your situation before. I usually just say screw it and read a book or do something else when no game interests me at the moment. I don't have that problem now though. I have plenty of games to play :D

Yeah, the last time I was really excited to play a game was Left 4 Dead. That game just hooked me right in. But now that i have played it so many times I kind of need a few new levels or something to freshen the game up a bit. I bought Resident Evil 5 when it came out but didn't even start playing it until about a week later cause I just couldn't get hyped about it. Turns out I was right. A good but not great game that I had to force myself to finish the game. Just felt the exact same as RE4 so there wasn't much to get excited about. I am hoping Ghostbusters turns it all around.

I've been bored to death of my 360. It's the only console I have so I have no other console to get games for and none of the upcoming 360 games appeal to me, except Halo 3 ODST. In fact I have only bought one game this year and that was College Hoops 2k8, which is really unusual for me. I'm still wondering if I should get a DSi to kill some time with at home and in between classes :P.

After I got off my 300+ hour Fallout 3 High I just can't seem to get into any games any more. I actually have been playing Rome Total War (over 4 years old) more than my giant stack of almost new 360 games.

Lately, I've really gotten back into PC gaming, and I've been disrespecting my Xbox 360. I think the issue, for me at least, is that the only two games out there that I am ever really interested in playing that aren't available (and often superior) on the pc are Halo 3 and Gears of War 2, both of them which I think I got tired of after playing them for hours on end for months when they were released.

When I've been at my friends' house, we can't decide what to play. Because of the economy right now, the video game market is slowly dying. I think that even when we get out of this "crisis," the video gaming market will not increase. I'm sure it's happening all around right now because no new and exciting games are coming out lately. Gears of War 2 was the last really huge one, I think.

I felt the same way before but I managed to solve it. Imo, the best solution to that is you should find an alternative hobby that you really like ( does not mean you must give up gaming) so whenever you get bored of gaming you can have another hobby to do.

Go back to an old system like SNES, PS1, heck even PS2, or try another current gen system like Wii or PS3, lots of great games for all of these systems, if you find your running out of 360 games to play then maybe it's time to expand your horizons and pick up a new system so that enough games will be coming out to satisfy your gaming needs. :)

I get that sometimes. Mostly during these spring/summer times for some odd reason. I love Rock Band and sometimes play it non-stop, but sometimes it's like "Why do I enjoy this again?" Latley I started what I did last year. Get a nice premium deal from my local rental store ($40 for 3 items (2 games Max. Leftover must be movie. Or 2 movies, one game. Or 3 movies. And get to keep them for as long as I want, and rent as much as I would like. I could get something new everyday if I wanted to.) Anyway, last week I did a movie (Wanted) and rented Guitar Hero Metallica and Resident Evil 5. Though with my friend, beat it in 2 days including unlocking the gatling gun. Now this week I'm doing Tropic Thunder, Quantom of Solace game, and Fable II.

The music games are the only ones that get me attached. I can sometimes just force myself to play Call of Duty, but stop after one or two games.

You know I feel having a varied library of games help to keep this from happening, sometimes you just don't feel like playing certain types of games. No offense but I know alot of you Xbox guys have librarie's full of shooters and sports games, and if you don't feel like shooting someone in the face or kicking a ball around, you get the TC's situation. I have platformers like Mario Galaxy and Prince of Persia, shooters like Gears of War and Call of Duty, adventure games Zelda and Uncharted, Sports games, Fighting games, RPG's, Racers, the more varied your options the less likely you are to hit the wall. Some days just don't feel like a shooter day or an RPG day, but its perfect for an adventure like Zelda or Street Fighter IV or something. Having different types of games goes a long way.

I know how that feels, until I saw all the games I did not ghave on my Xbox360 that were essential.

Remember there is Xbox Originals, Xbox Live Arcade, Downloadable game add-ons.

Also, check my recomended games list.

There are a lot of good games that people miss, such as The Orange Box, Castle Crashers, Burnout Paradise, and Perfect Dark Zero.

I guess that's a good thing about getting a 360 late, I have so many games to catch up on.
Just wait until E3 and hope that there are some big announcements.

You have just summed up how I have felt for the past 4 or 5 months perfectly. Wow.

Well I agree with you guys except imagine not having anything since last year. GoW2 with the abundance of little kids made me sure not to buy it, RE5 looked a little overrated, now godfather 2 comes out and it is shorter than the first one and less polished. Man I wish something awesome would come out.

I just get a new game or some new dlc every month or so and that usually keeps me interested. Sometimes its good to take a break from 360 for a while too. Then after several days without playing it you are craving to play it again.

I felt the EXACT same way with my Gamecube collection. I had about 22 games, a pretty good collection. At one point, I didn't want to play any of them, not that they were bad games, but because I already knew what was going to happen in them. That feeling sucks =/. Luckily I haven't hit that point with the 360.
