i was visiting gamestop.com today and saw this coming out tuesday. i was thinking about trading my 360 in to get the elite just for HDMI gaming. now is this going to allow me to play games in full 1080p as if i were to have the elite or is it going to not be as good? i dont care about upconverting dvds, i just want to play games in 1080p without getting a new system. does anyone have know much about this thing?

it depends on your tv. every tv is different. ya probs thought stand more chance of having the best connection by using a xbox with the hdmi built in

im using the logic of if they can knock out a hdmi connection through the normal video connector socket, why havent they released a offical lead for it? would of been a much better option than adding a port to the machine

you can buy premium well they called PRO and the old core as ARCADE and some of these have the HDMI ports in them as well.

but i think with that kit it might work as a hdmi lead but might not yelid the same results as the proper socket built into the xbox

if your going for 1080p then ur looking for the best connection you can get, with that kit id search online for feedback about it on google because you might end up buying something that does a poor job , coz i would of thought they would be a proper lead by ms out to use in the same way if it was possible and able to knock out a picture to the same effect

that product is to convert 360's that aren't hdmi, to hdmi. Utterly useless. If you are getting an elite, of any new 360 for that matter, it will have a native hdmi port, and it comes with the cable. No need for any additional equipment.

As long as your tv has an hdmi input.

unmach

yeah thats what i meant.

maybe your better off getting the vga cable and going the 1900 x 1080 vga res.

but ya cant convert something of a lower quality to a higher quality and get a improovement, because its still going to be knocked out at the best quality that port on the xbox can do. and its not going to be true HDMI its just component converted. so ya still only getting component out of the wire thru ur tv hdmi port

it depends if your TV supports 1080p. Many HDTVs only support 720p, which u can get through the standard component cable.

It's amazing how many people think you're going to get some super difference going from 1080i to 1080p. You won't even notice it. Waste of a few hundred bucks.

well i have a 55 inch sony 1080p tv, i still notice a few jaggies on 1080i im assuming that 1080p will clear that up, but i might just trade my 360 in and get a new one that has HDMI built in and get the bigger HDD.
