Hi everyone, im from Argentina and i want to know if the problems regarding of the 3 lights or whatever has been solved, because here it worth a lot of money and i don't want to expended it all in a console that in the next 3 months it's going to be useless. So i'm asking, is the problem already solved? or they just keep launching defectives consoles into the market? =S Thanks.
pfffff....ps3......anyway I don't see how you people are so unfortounate (how the frick do you spell that?) I'm only on my 2nd that broke VERY recently and I had a launch system....

If you keep the console extra cool you should not have the problem with the board warping and breaking the solder. The new Elite has epoxy around the chips to help but not a fix. IMEO use a fan at the rear to help blow the hot air away from the console.
Just make sure you get a warranty when you buy the console. Whether it be with Microsoft or the store you bought it at. You'll be glad you do. You may be one of the lucky gamers that won't get the 3 red lights, but it is better to have MS take 2-4 weeks to send you a referb or the store replace it with a new console if it breaks then to completely buy a whole new console. Keep track of your warranty though and renew it before it expires. Believe me its worth paying the money to keep the warranty up, and the 360 is worth the buy. Good Luck.

Dont feel left out Im on 5th or 6th one you guys have been owned hard by statistics. you have the same chance of winning power ball as that happening. or perhaps your not old enough to have a console. I have two no problems and I have had 1 since day 1. BTW, you would know if it is your 5th or 6th one. This statement shows deceit. Or??? Give me a break.
Still with a 2 (or was it 3?) year warranty you will be save for 2 years. And in that 2 years you will probably miss your 360 a max of 2 weeks. So its worth getting one.
