Who knows? Complanies sometimes design consoles YEARS before they're released. Let's just hope that by the time the 8th gen arrives they can come up with something better than "Xbox 720."
It's just speculation. Also, why don't people just call it the Xbox 3 for now. It's not going to be called the 720. They called it the Xbox 360 because the system offers a full entertainment experience, and that it was a second gen Xbox against a third gen PlayStation, and they didn't want it to be Xbox 2 vs PlayStation 3.

Glad somebody pointed that out. Xbox 720 sounds ridiculous there's no way Microsoft would call it that. Also the 360's hardware is more than fine for many years to come.
Judging by that video, i think it would be kinda cool for some games....but how would it work for a, FPS? It could be cool, if it worked well. But 360 is prime for shooters.
We got along way to go before any new Xbox is coming out. Hell they might drop the name "Xbox" for all we know. Xbox 360 isn't even dead yet and people are trying to kill it?

A lot of people are happy with the 360 and dont wanna waste a few hundred bucks on a new console. ^^^^ Exactly Itd be fine with me if they never came out with a new one 360 is awesome. and 720 is the dumbest name in the world i doubt it will be called that. someone on youtube just wanted more views so they put xbox 720 in the title so ppl would watch it.
How about just the Xbox 3? Plain, simple, and not incredibly cheesy.
well the reason they called it the xbox 360 was so when ppl saw the ps3 it wouldnt sound weaker. what would you buy the xbox 2 or PS3? so going off of the PS4 name they prolly wouldnt want xbox 3, my guess is it will just be some original name after xbox, like xbox revolution or something like that

I know(I mentioned that earlier) but this gen has popularized the Xbox name. It doesn't matter what number they have, it'll sell like hot cakes. Personally, Xbox 3 is the best name. Things like NeXt Box, Xbox 720(which would make no sense at all), and Super Xbox all sound really, really lame.

i honestly could care less about what they name it, but i wish that we werent coninuing with the whole motion based technology for games thing. its cool to think about, but its not as fun as a controller in my opinion.
i have a Wii and i have a few of the games that are supposed to be the best it has, and i'll tell you that it is far less enjoyable than just a 360 controller. If xbox goes the way of Natal for its next console, i wont be buying it.

They said that natal will take xbox into the next generation of gaming without having to put out a new console. Natal is for 360
