have done the unthinkable and gotten even worse than they were. Has anyone else noticed this? I've been through 2 mics and both of them had the same problem: The mic is absolute crap, I have to practically shout to get people to hear me. My friend also has this problem and we each have problems hearing each other at times where it gets to the point of us having to repeat each other 2-3 times..

Is this seriously our terrible luck or are the new headsets just really that crappy?

there seems to be a parallel space between the mind and the controller that inhibits the microphone sonic activity relinquishing you to less than patron status. but you are a paying customer so you deserver the astrological highs of reasons and develop a "kunda ka" if you will, with the Creator. [xbox being the material plane of microphones] but it is simply just rubbish and nonsense to exocrine the being from the communication even though it is a useless endeavor. much cheers 23crossdressers

Wow... you've made me look at it in a way I've never done before. I understand it clearly now. Thank you!

I've had one headset since 2008 and it's been working fine for me, except for when my brother stole it so I bought another one.

He probably went through 5 headsets every month, but mine is still fully functioning since 2008 in the same controller aswell so the headset jack is functioning fine too.

Well I was talking about the newer model of the headsets though, the older headsets were fine. M$ clearly has cheaped out.

I dunno...I'm one of only RROD survivors too, never experienced any hardware failures.

The older headsets used the blocky output (which I never owned), I have the 'newer' one with the standard output

MS headsets have always been cheap trashy things, never liked them
