Xbox Live Gamerscores Anybody?

I'm just curious at how the hell people have such a low Gamerscore these days. I've played over a thousand of online matches (Any game) and checked at least a few hundred gamertags and only found about seven or eight Gamerscores over Ten-Thousand, If anybody wants to post their Gamerscores to prove me wrong I'd love that, or at least an explanation why people have such inferior numbers.

So far I've got 30517 Gamerscore.

Some people just play the same half dozen games over and over again, and I'm sure most of them are only aware of achievements in the most basic sense. I'm coming up on 40,000, but I play way too many games.

I saw someone come up as The One in 1vs100 and their gamescore was under 100. I have no idea how that's possible, unless they just created their account that day.

Not everyone plays games 24/7 and can afford to get all the new games that come out. I don't play non stop and I don't go through games like crazy, but I did just get 10000 about a month ago. Not everyone who plays games is completely addicted to them.

On 1vs100 all the ones have low gamerscore. Normally under 1000.

I am aware there are people who can't play 24/7.. Actually I'm pretty sure that is actually impossible. Nor are games addicting, just something fun to pass the time with. plus I mostly only get maybe two hours a day if I'm lucky in, but somehow I've still managed to get a decent Gamerscore.

Because some people just play multiplayer games for fun and don't really care about achievements. For instance, who knows what my GS would be if I didn't spend 250+ hours (might be much higher, I have no idea) on cod2 online.

I have around 13,600 and that is because I never go for them, need to beat a lot of my games, and I normally just play TF2.

2 hours a day is quite a bit of gaming. At that rate you would spend about 30 and a half days every year on your 360. I am not going to scold you for it, but that's just not desirable/reasonable for most people.

i don't care for achievements so that is why it is very low. it's around 8 thousand i think. i don't care for them so, i don't w ant to waist my time trying to get stupid number for nothing. i hate playing games on hard difficulty so i don't do those. call of duty 4 veteran comes to mind when i think of it. it was way to hard and frustrating to play it.

Not really, back when I was a youngin' I probably gamed around six hours a day, and may I ask you to explain by your meaning of "but that's just not desirable/reasonable for most people." because from what I gather it simply just means that people just wouldn't want to game for such a short period of time nor does it have any good outcomes. Also I'd like to point out Thirty days out of 365 days doesn't really seem that bad, especially when the rest of the time is spent tanning!. xD

its because most people these days love online gameplay and dont really play the campaign or they do but dont care for achievments. i know all the people i talk to on halo and cod4 and 5 dont play the campaing cuz they like the multiplayer the best. i only have a few games so my GS is 10205 but i play the campaign. so my explanation is that people just like the multiplayer the best, and intill games have a bunch of online achievments people will still have low GS

A lot of people just don't care about gamerscore. Also, many of the people with high gamerscore simply play games for achievements (Avatar, CoD singleplayer, etc)

Holy crap "140,000" That's insane props to your friend. And well I guess overall my question has been answered, Multiplayer dominates. That's why Gamerscores are so low, hmm then again what about games that offer Multiplayer achievements, like Shadowrun an all Multiplayer game from what I remember.

Darkslayer on this thread has 150,000. The way he tlked about having 30,000 I had to see how much he had.

Well normally they will play the multiplayer game for a very long time. The Orange Box has 200 GS points in Team Fortress 2 but when you consider I played it for 700 hours it's not that much :P. Anyway just look at Darkslayer's GS he has 150,000 lol.

There's a whole lot of people who could care less about achievements. Especially since there's no reward for actually achieving them... I only go for achievments when I'm trying to find some extra replay value with the game. Me nor any of my friends actually try to get achievements. If we get them, we get them... if not, then who cares. Quite honestly I don't see why so many people like them.

Coming from a guy with almost 13,000 posts on a video game forum? Really? How much time do you spend watching tv? Doing something for 2 hours a day is not that much.

Yeah I know that's bloody amazing, he must be pretty skilled or have a lot of spare time, I'd like to go with the first. But yeah I guess the multiplayer achievements are rather useless anyways, well at least now I can stop gasping over someone having less than a thousand... Ugh but that zero Gamerscore still haunts my nightmares.

Thank you Chipie for backing me up on this one, I mean hell I spend at least double that time (Four hours for those who can't count or perform simple math) just tanning, now I'm POSITIVE that is not healthy for you. But still I'm Norse born so I'm damn lucky I can even tan.

I have noticed that people in clans also have a really low gamerscore. They obviously just play that game and a few others but mostly that one. If you ever go to a clan you will see a whole lot of 5,000 and under gamerscores.

Okay that's actually quite humorous, but the reason I like to get Gamerscore is simply because I stumble upon it.. Honestly most of the time I'm not going for the Achievements I'm just used to the good old days when knowing every small secret counted to somebody. Like back in Super Mario World, I knew everything about that game.. Every small secret I'd found. Then I tried the same with Assassin's Creed by getting all the flags... It's just not the same feeling, I guess I'm just part of a dieing breed, the ones who still love SMW and Battletoads, not to mention Doom (I'm talking Classic Doom, not this new Doom stuff we got now).

I still love SMW and break out the NES on occasion to play it so your not completely alone. I just don't care that much about achievements. I'd rather play multiplayer with my friends than grind for an achievement.

Either way you can't disagree both systems were God-like, they almost achieved Chuck Norris state of existence.
