That should work. Usually your connection will be cut almost in half through natural transfer of the connection so you'll probably be looking at less than 1.5, but as long as the connection is secure(no one leaching off of your router) and direct(don't use wi-fi, but hardwire the ethernet straight to your xbox) you will be fine.

My speed seems fine at 1.50 Mbps. So, you should be ok as long as it Isn't lagging.

no this will not cut your speed...i hate it when people assume it will. The ony way you could have a problem is if someone else is using the net whilst youre playing but it shouldnt make the game unplayable

Are you saying your signal is not cut on a wireless connection? That is false, even on the best routers.

yes basically i am ,,, at least if I understand where youre going with that. People just assume that the router allocates a certain amount of data per wi-fi connection ... they dont a wireless signal will transmit data right up until it hits its own data limits. A standard G adapter is not going to peak on a 1.5 meg connection dude. If you were on a network where multiple people are using the connection all at once then yeah you would notice a difference but the signal bandwidth doesnt go down just because its wireless. They do also assume that signal degridation will kill the bandwidth. This is true but it does depend entirely on signal strength not just the fact that its wireless. Again even on a moderate signal a wireless adapter will not peak on a 1.5 meg connection.
