Xbox Live Rewards program launches

I got 240 pts for resubsribing to gold, activating an old 1 month trial card, and taking a 5 question survey. I'll be buying the BFBC2 DLC when it comes out so that should be even more.

also theres 2 free games on xbox live arcade right now , some dorito game and another racing game from microsoft, named -crash course and harms way (the racing one is te later the other plays like ninja warrior lol

I'm not whining, I DID read the terms of use. I'm just tired of Micrsofts bull. They same thing happened with Bing Rewards and it's getting old. Not to mention that once you do something that is supposed to give you points but you have to wait a month and perhaps you didn't do everything to get those points then you have to wait another month. It's just stupid.

Anyone know how the points are redeemed? Do they update your points automatically, or do they email you a redeemable code, or something else? Thanks.

Would probably make more sense if it was for completing a retail game. "You just finished a $60 game, here's $10 to download another game or some DLC."

No, you don't have to be a Gold Member to get the survey points, free members get the 20 points too. If you visit the xbox rewards website, the chart shows you what gets points for free members and what gets points for Gold Members.

Oh, yeah. And for those asking, after the points are pended and then awarded, they just automatically show up in your account. You don't have to redeem them with a code or anything. My 20 points showed pending a few day after I took the survey and then were in my account a week or so later. But if you haven't gotten your points yet, don't sweat it yet since it does say you are supposed to get them the next month.

This should last long because its gonna end in several months or in 2012. I saw the terms and conditions and it says it ends in 2012, so will it end in 2011 or 2012? Thats a bad idea from microsoft because this should last more longer. Its actually good.

I'm not sure if a non credit card transaction works, and I can't find anything about it.

i would not say that you only get rewards for buying more stuff and you must be it was either 16 or 18 to apply and be acepted

It's been one month now and my MS Points is still in pending

I've purchased at least 15 things on the marketplace since getting accepted as a Rewards member, and yet I only have 20 pending points from taking a survey. :-\Anthrizacks
