[QUOTE="burmese19"]First off Play it on an HDTV then say something, the game was not bulit to be played on a regular NOn HDTV. If you think it still looks horrible after that i will respect your opinion. But i suggest you do that first before you bash the graphics on a truly amazing visual game with and HDTV HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!! HDTV DOESNT MAKE THAT MCUH A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!! OMG YOU PEOPLE YOU HAVE TO SHUT UP AND QUIT BEING SO FUSSY!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I USED TO PLAY IT ON SDTV AND NOW I PLAY IT ON HDTV AND THERE IS LITTLE DIFFERENCE.I just bought my 360 about a week ago. I waited so long b/c I was happy with my original xbox until Microsoft cut it off (after what 5 years or so?). The only game I have bought/played so far was GOW on a regular non-HDTV, and I gotta say I'm not impressed with these "next-gen" graphics at all. I could easily see the first xbox swing these kind of graphics if Microsoft wasn't in such a hurry to alienate its old system and make all us fools cough over a ton more cash. I mean the jump from PSone to xbox/PS2 was unbelievable, but this next transition is about as impressive as Mike Tyson in a spelling contest. This is just my opinion however, and I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

[QUOTE="burmese19"]And I am equally unimpressed with your ability to draw conclusions of a system's graphical abilities while using sub-par technology. Did you also dismiss the quality of a DvD player when you hooked it up to your 13 in black and white TV with the tin-foil antenna? XDThe only game I have bought/played so far was GOW on a regular non-HDTV, and I gotta say I'm not impressed with these "next-gen" graphics at all..

Name one game on the xbox that has gow level graphics...........that's what I thought there aren't any.matt3456actually more like, find one game, that is out currently on ANY system with better graphics than gears of war and ill give u a dollar and a cookie :) but seriously if u dont thik gears has good graphics then you either have very very high expectations, or are a troll
not impressed...your retarded....try fight night round 3..KillerM24i don't find that game impressive... realism doesn't necesarily impress me.. the gameplay is bad and sluggish. It's ONLY good if you want to show your friends how (almost) realistic the stiff undead half naked men are in this game.... uncanning valley
The TC reminds me a lot of my best friend who had the exact same complaints when he first saw an Xbox 360 on display last year- "these graphics aren't that good at all, ps2 could do this.." he said, snobbishly, And " MS blows at everything they (try) to do" Well all i can say is that after a quick adjustment to the back of his head in the form of a well timed smack, cured all of his sensory ailments and he could see the light (so to speak) Now he owns an Xbox 360 and he cant get over the "unimpressive graphics"

First of all, the transition into this generation though not as impressive as it should be, is no where near the level of Mike Tyson in a spelling contest. Either you are exaggerating, or you are poor at analogies but either way that specific comment has no merit.
Second, you really shuold play a game like GOW on a HDTV, because it does make a difference. In any case, I do agree with you that there havent seem to of been enormous advances in video games within the last 5 years...but I think you are going too far. I too was a little disapointed with the graphics when I first tried my xbox 360. But with time, I realized that really it IS pretty cool, and i was only a little disapointed because I hyped up the graphics for this generation in my head to such an extent that there was no way i couldnt be disapointed. But I will say this...after a month of playing GRAW (my first game) I tried to play Halo 2 for a bit and only got 1/2 of the way through the first level before turning it off and trading it in for another game. Why? Because I couldnt get past the last gen graphics, sound, and gameplay. It just felt like I was taking a step back. Play GOW for a month then try to play halo 2 and I guarantee you that THEN you will see the difference. Yes its not as huge as PS1 and xbox1...but there is still a noticeable difference, and so far worth my money.
Third, im very sorry but you have no idea what you are talking about when you say that the original xbox can "easily" handle GOW. The answer to that is simple and definitive. Definitely not in sense whatsoever. The original xbox cannot handle those types of graphics, and AI (yes GOW does have very good AI...better than I have seen in ANY original xbox game). Period. So stop with the nonsense that you got ripped off because you didnt.
Well, if you're not impressed with Gears of War, then you won't be impressed with anything else.Thorpe89
The first time I loaded up that game I was amazed with the incredible detail and beauty of the surround.
That in my eyes was the frst Next-Gen game I have ever seen.
