Project Natal is possibly another step forward in user interactivity and looks like a lot of fun. No cumbersome controllers, instead your whole body can work as the interface with the game.

What if you don't want to use your whole body for playing? What if you can't?Maybe, one day M$ will include this in it's line-up of controllers.

One day, people may even buy a Mad Catz version from Walmart:)

That just looked silly. And probably just a step backwards from Natal? I think yeah ok it could be used if you aren't able to use your full body for whatever reason, but its only your head being detected... That's oldskool really...

You didn't read any of the information, if you did you would know there is nothing old school about this. It reads your thoughts, it doesn't just detect your head.

This is another implentation of technology that bring the user closer to our realization of full immersion.

I will agree it looks silly though.

I'll probably give up games if they completely get rid of controllers. No matter how cool motion control is, it will never be better than relaxing with a controller.

not having a controller will make the games less fun imho, if the camera can reproduce your exact gestures on screen, it means you can't fail a movement by not timing a button press, or doing a combo with 3 different button presses, the game will have to extrapolate anyway the strength of your arm twit for a golf putt for example ; and different people of different sizes or bad ccordination will make it fit for a limited amount of people.

^Check out the link I provided. The device is the exact opposite of the camera.

These are two seperate devices, that allow the user to interact with the game, in two completely different ways.

The devices are on opposite sides of the spectrum. One is for full body interaction and the other is purely mental.
