Mine has to be Wrex, he has the most personality imo. I dont no if this is thanks to his voice actor which in my opinion is the best, or his constant sarcastic or funny comments, but he is the most detailed and most realest character in the game, i think, which is funny cuz hes an alien

I think Ambassador Udina deserves a mention in this thread too. Sure, he wasn't exactly "likeable" but you have to admit he certainly did have personality and his voice/appearance fit perfectly too.
I liked Cmdr. Shephard, which I guess makes me egotistical. I thought Wrex, Garrus, and Saren were all great characters. It's hard to choose in a game like Mass Effect, that has so many developed and realistic personalities.
Hard to pick one for me, don't read if you have not played through or plan on doing.

p.s. everyone should read the Mass Effect books as well, they are amazing and crucial to understanding the story

Yeah I've read them, they're very entertaining. On a side note Drew Karpyshyns (the author) other series, Star Wars Darth Bane books, are also extremely fun to read.

I tend to agree. She and Wrex were definitely the most fleshed out characters while I felt Garrus and Liara were the least expanded upon. Tali's suit, plus her cool modulated voice, and her high usefulness in battle makes her my favorite. Wrex is an EXTREMELY close second though.
