Your opinion on the Better with Kinect Sensor title on upcoming games?

First we saw Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier's box art flashing the seemingly arrogant Better with Kinect Sensor logo.

Today Turn 10 revealed the cover art for Forza 4 and they also have this title, which seems odd because there is no alternative being an exclusive title.

What are your thoughts on this new approach by Microsoft? I personally don't like it and they should of just kept it the same as before.

I think if you don't have to use it, then I don't get what the problem is. It's just a box. Heck, the Kinect features may even be (Gasp!) fun.

I don't have kinect So I will have to wait and see. How a driving game or First Person Shooter actually be better with kinect is not possible. No zapper or Wii wheel. Is better? Just use a regular controller.

So why doesn't Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1: The Game say "only fun during Kinect minigames?"

Whoa whoa whoa, I know everybody has their own opinions and I respect that, but for people who want "hardcore" games with Kinect and everything, speak for yourself when saying "should of just kept it the same as before." Times are changing man, you are just going to have to get used to it.

If you have the OPTION ( @Sainterz, notice the all caps response of OPTION (oops, must be a keyword in my sentence, did it twice)), then people shouldn't have to whine about Kinect branching out. Its for the people who want to use it, you know, people like me. If you don't want to, its your OPTION (third time is a charm) not to use it.

NOTE* "Better with Kinect Sensor" also means, in maybe a word I used before, OPTION (Holy cow, definite key word here). With the other titles like Kinect Sports or Dance Central, on the case it said, "Kinect Sensor Required," meaning there is no option.

As someone who doesn't have Kinect yet I'm looking forward to it. I want a Kinect, but the software just isn't there for me ATM, but it will be if they start adding things like this

I'm hearing more and more murmurs about Gears being better with Kinect, at least that's what the MS Retail Rep has been telling us at the place I work. Of course, he has no concrete proof, so he's probably talking out his ***. At best I can only imagine a rail Gears shooter. But I am looking forward to all Better With Kinect games in general.

Woah, I probably didn't clarify what this thread was about to start with! Sorry about that What I meant with the Better with Kinect Sensor title was not that they are including Kinect features (I am all for that!) but that they have changed the title from Kinect Sensor Required to this now seemingly arrogant phrase. I just thought that they could've gone with a more subtle approach such as "Compatible with Kinect" instead of stating that it was better. I have a Kinect and can't wait to try out these hardcore games with it, I have nothing against that!Sainterz

Think about it for a second. Microsoft marketed Kinect as this best new technology in the market for video games. Now, unlike Sony, who kind of just shoved Move aside after launch, barely hearing any buzz about it anymore, Microsoft approaches Kinect different. They are STILL marketing it so much, so of course they are gonna say "better with Kinect."

Ease up, its just marketing strategy.

as long as kinect stays optional and doesnt start being required for these games then i have no problem with however they choose 2 market it

if it ever becomes a requirement though, then i will have a problem as i just dont have the space in my living room to actually make one work.....

It's not difficult to research what Microsoft has planned for Kinect

Microsoft has said that motions will NEVER replace controllers, it's going to be used as an accessory to the console and if you play on Live and have a headset you're already doing that.

As for Kinect it's going to be used for things like head tracking which is awesome and will help in games like FPS titles

Kinect is the worst. motion playing is for 14 year olds and only belongs on the wii. whoever bought kinect has to be the dumbest person on earth cuz there is no way i will pay that much for a useless item
