I'm a fairly new youtuber and I'm interested to play old game in the 16 and 32 bit era, and also want to share the gameplay on youtube. The problem is back when I was a kid, I'm not really into gaming, thus I didn't own many games (only have SNES and PSX) and all those games are gone (either buried somewhere in the storeroom or lost, most likely the latter one).

I know downloading ROM is illegal, especially if I never own the original game. But finding those games are impossible or ridiculously expensive. But I read somewhere someone said that most game company won't care for a 15 - 20 years old game. Although some company like Nintendo against it as they still sell the classic game on new console.

My question is, is it possible to play and share emulated games on youtube without monetize the video? I just want to get some views, and then when I'm able to put add on the video, I only put it for the game I own from the current gen (PS3, PS4, PC).
