Luck based, but fun.
The game is fun-for a while. It's easy to pick up and play, the graphics are nice, and the music is just beautiful. But after a while this game starts becoming the most frustrating game ever created. You see, it's fun fo... Read Full Review

An addictive Sci-fi rogue like where decisions mean life or death, and fun isn't optional.
This game had a reputation for me of being incredible before I even played it. I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about it, and yet, it sat in my Steam inventory for the better part of a month. After finally redeemi... Read Full Review

A great short-form game that captures your imagination.
FTL is a game unlike any I've ever played. On the surface, the game seems simple enough; you act as the commander of a vessel, controlling every crew member, every weapon, and every decision you come upon. You'll come ac... Read Full Review

Finally a game that doesn't hold your hand all the time. Yes, there's a lot of luck, but also a lot of learning.
Definitely worth trying out. It' a rogue-like, in space. There's a lot of luck, but in a few hours (at most, that is if you make it) you'll be able to get a feeling for what the game is about. What I've enjoyed most ... Read Full Review

A $10 game that will provide many more hours of game play and immersion than many full priced games on today's market.
I decided to pick this game up on Steam after seeing the positive reviews and feedback it was receiving. For $10 it is fantastic value for the hours of quality entertainment it provides. The game looks and plays relative... Read Full Review

This one of the best example of what GAMES should focus on. They are not movies.
Lately all the AAA titles remind me of Hollywood. Literally they have more in common with movies than games. This is a simple game, like Plants vs Zombie. U will feel joy and and frustration on every step. Every time so... Read Full Review

A great game mechanic that is dragged down by excessive difficulty and randomly impossible encounters.
I'm a sucker for a good sci-fi game, and FTL certainly delivers. Superficially it looks tedious, but the mechanic is simple and addictive. You run your crew around repairing components, balancing power usage and choosing... Read Full Review

Totally old school "Rogue Like" that is just fun as heck! Wait where did 6 hours just go?!
Totally fun game of space exploring and battling pirates and other enemies to get scrap (in game currency per se), guns, crew and special items. Its hard. Its supposed to be hard. The further you get along the many pat... Read Full Review

Great strategy game. Makes you feel like you're in the movie, 'Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan.'
Great Indie game that has you taking command of a star ship and it crew and guiding it through several maps. You start with only one ship option but, can unlock several more as you play though the game. Game looks simp... Read Full Review

It's fun, addicting, but with its flaws
Indie games are in! This is one of those simple yet complex games that will hook you to the screen and make you forget about time. It is fun and definitely worth $10. Galaxies are somewhat randomly generated with ra... Read Full Review
