Really great songs, really insane price tag. I'm glad I have a large enough disposabal income not to regret the purchase
Really great songs, really insane price tag, I'm glad I have a large enough disposable income not to regret the purchase. The lack of unlockable bonus tracks is a severe disappointment. I would recommend this as a rent... Read Full Review

It may not be the real good 80's edition we were waitng for, but it's good enough until GH3 and Rock Band.
We are waiting for an 80's edition ever since GH1 was released to the mass market. Ever since, Harmonix, Red Octane, and Activision have been working on this. Is this the exapnsion pack we have all been waiting for? I... Read Full Review

First 10 songs suck, the rest are good, play with me is AWESOME!!!
LOVE 80's. I started playing and the first 10 songs made me want to kick my tv. Way to easy and boring. Eventually the game gets better and you are bound to find a few songs you like. Play with me took me a few extra at... Read Full Review

Another crop of Guitar Hero songs, but otherwise lacking
As many have already said, and this is also my biggest gripe, is the price for the content. Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s is essentially a stripped down expansion pack to Guitar Hero II. Sure, there's 30 new song... Read Full Review

GH 80s is great, but there is just not enough content to make it amazing.
If you look at my User Name, you will see it is guitarherolover. With spaces, it is: Guitar Hero Lover. So, I love guitar hero. Yea. Fan. Just look around my profile, and you will see just how much I love it. I have love... Read Full Review

80's Classic Music, Big Hair, Bad Clothes, What more do you want? Your own band set in the 80's well here you go...
I bought this game today, and noticed first hand that this is a real cheesey 'remake' of Guitar Hero 2. It's pretty much the same interface, just different colors. I went on thinking that it's fine. My next notice was th... Read Full Review

A totally radical Guitar Hero with great songs. Just not enough content.
Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80's is the expansion on Guitar Hero 2. However a completly seperate game nonetheless. It follows the previous way of Guitar Hero's (Not much different from GH2 in any way). There's a ca... Read Full Review

What I Expected
This game is just what I expected it to be: The same exact gameplay as guitar hero II, with different songs. I was excited about the songs, especially "Holy Diver" and "Turning Japanese". People ar... Read Full Review

This is what everyone was afraid the first Guitar Hero was going to be.
Graphics - Exactly the same as Guitar Hero II. In fact, everything you see in this game was taken directly from GH2 and made up to look like it came from the '80's. The graphics aren't bad, but they're no different exc... Read Full Review

Half-baked version with poor versions of songs, a few bugs and no extra content.
I give this a 7 because it still have some play-value. But this is, by far, the worst of the 3 GH titles. First, there's no extra content...which means that not only do you get only 30 songs for $50+ but there's no dis... Read Full Review
