What Gamespot Users have to say about Kid Icarus

One of my first downloaded VC games and regretted wasting 500 Wii points on this disastrous so-called NES classic.
INTRODUCTION I've heard of Kid Icarus for some time since I missed out on playing this game on the NES. I didn't even know there was a sequel for the Game Boy. I've read the profile of Pit (the game's hero) on the tro... Read Full Review

It may be an "Angel Land Story", but you'll be lucky to see the pearly white gates when Pit is done with you.
After seeing Pit's modern-day revival in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I decided to check out his roots in the original Kid Icarus. I heard from a lot of people about how great Kid Icarus was, and that in the wake of Metroid,... Read Full Review

Worth the $5, just don't expect a masterpiece
Kid Icarus is a good game, if you accept it for what it is: a straightforward point and shoot with a decent backstory. High points: The gameplay is fun, and the levels are often quite different from one another, as ar... Read Full Review

This is a game is for Kindergartners and first graders should play aged 5-7. It's TOO boring for most pre-teens or older big kids. If I hate to tell that this game is not really fun at all, I would rather play Super Smas... Read Full Review

Kid Icarus is a classic game on the NES that is most remembered for it's cruelty. On the Wii, nothing has changed.
I remember way back in the day when Kid Icarus was a game that nearly everyone had, and nearly everyone hated. After a while though, it was accepted. Nowadays, people look back semi-fondly on their memories of long hours... Read Full Review

Kid Icarus has a nice plot, and it had good ideas, but it wasn't able to successfully bring them together with gameplay.
When we think of Kid Icarus, we think of Pit, the heroic angel and the main character of the game. Now when we think of the gameplay, we think of a limited health bar, tricky maneuvering, inaccurate weapons, expensive he... Read Full Review

Good game, but you most likely won't be able to beat the second level.
Kid Icarus seems to be a very well-liked game (at least when I had been a Nintendo Power subscriber). I thought it looked good and for $5, how can you go wrong? So I downloaded the game a while back. All I can say is tha... Read Full Review
