What Gamespot Users have to say about LIMBO
- Rating:8.5
One of the most uniquely dark and twisted yet satisfying platformers Ive played in a very long time.
I must say Limbo lived up to its hype for the most part. You will realize after your first few minutes of playing that this isnt a typical platformer. Think back more to the Out of This World, Oddworld Abes Odyssey, and ... Read Full Review

If someone says that gaming isn't art, Limbo will make them eat their words.
It's been more than a year since Limbo came out and I've been hearing great things about it ever since. Sadly, it was 360 exclusive at the time. But Limbo was finally able to make it to the PS3 last summer. Limbo is u... Read Full Review

A dark, yet enchanting game.
To be honest, I'm having a hard time beginning this review. What is there to say about that charming, yet dark indie platformer that we don't already know? LIMBO's interesting visual style helps to set the atmosphere, wh... Read Full Review

The unique atmosphere and setting are what make this game worth it. Otherwise, it's another short platformer.
If this game was on the Wii or on an Apple iPad with typical platformer graphics it is likely no one would really care that much about it. What truly gives this game i's appeal is its unique visual style and presentation... Read Full Review

A good puzzle game for adults only.
The game Limbo has nothing to do with the sport of the same name. Do not be fooled. You will be very surprised of how dark is the game. You will play the role of a small guy who is looking for a member of his family. Tha... Read Full Review

Limbo is like Braid only in that it's an indy, artsy game with lots of puzzles. That's where the similarities end.
Right after Braid, people started looking for "the next Braid". Not having played the majority of indy games out there on Steam or Playstation network, I can't say whether or not that game has been found. I can tell yo... Read Full Review

LIMBO is thick with atmosphere and mystery. Unfortunately it doesn't offer as much as I hoped.
Wake up in a forest. Take a nice walk. Get you ****in head chopped off by a bear trap. Get impaled by a spear. Get swallowed by a giant spider... Welcome to Dark Souls. ...Erm. Uh.. I mean LIMBO. An independent offeri... Read Full Review

An eerie and dark atmosphere turns a basic platformer into a great experience.
LIMBO Limbo is an indie 2d platformer where you play a boy who is caught in "limbo" a dark and scary place somewhere between life and death. The visuals are a very basic black and white and there is no music just a... Read Full Review

There is a pure and innocent emotional core and that reflects on the kind of design developer Playdead put into it.
Limbo is a game in which you guide a young boy into grotesque catastrophes. You don't want to but, like a moth to flame, you just do. However, it is an extremely beautiful game. There is a pure and innocent emotional cor... Read Full Review

Limbo is a dreadfully beautiful title that never feels cheap due to clever puzzles and a strong physics system.
The unknown is frightening. Mystery is compelling. Combined, these two elements factor into the chilling, lonesome experience that is Limbo. A nameless boy awakens in a dark, dreadful place with death following and await... Read Full Review
