This is a vast improvement over the original, and one of the best platformers ever, though I think it is overrated.
When the original Mega Man was released, and it was a hit, Capcom eventually had Inafune make Mega Man 2. Nintendo Power, I think it was held a contest so that fans could design the robots in the game. Which on the whole... Read Full Review

This is pretty much the highlight of the original series!
To start it off; the story. Like most of the other games in the original Megaman series, Dr. Wily is using robots and is trying to take over the world. The only one standing in the way and willing to fight the evil docto... Read Full Review

Believe the hype. Series defining bosses and memorable levels make this a shining star in NES platforming.
I have to agree with Inafking (one of Capcon's creative forces behind the series) in stating that this is the best title in the original series. Here's why: - Mega Man 2 seemed to have just smoothed out the blueprint la... Read Full Review

Not the game that started it all but it was indeed my first Mega Man game.
Mega Man 2 like the game that came before it and the games that would come after it would make people scream out in joy or pain or happyness or rage or any feeling at all just because they are that type of games. What ty... Read Full Review

Mega Man 2 improves on the first game, and is overall better, that's about all you can ask for in a sequel.
Mega Man 2 is better than the first game, it's not as cheap in it's difficulty, of course, again, it is Mega Man after all, so there's plenty of challenge here. Some of the robot masters here are among the series best. Y... Read Full Review

Easily one of the best titles on the NES.
When I was first playing Mega man 2, I wasn't too sure this was going to be too good. I didn't even think it would become one of my favourite games. It starts out with Dr Wily making 8 evil robots to destroy Megaman, ... Read Full Review

Although without a doubt this is the easiest Mega Man of the series, it's presentation will make all 8bit fans nostalgic
I played the first Mega Man when it first came out but it didn't really catch on for some reason. Kids at school were bragging about a hot new sequel called Mega Man 2 and I was at a lack for games that I could think of ... Read Full Review

The Blue Bomber shows again; better than before
As the second game in the series, Capcom aimed for things bigger and better, to try to apeal more to the fans of the previous game and to newcomers. Thankfully, the game is everything a gamer could expect. GRAPHICS: ... Read Full Review
