What Gamespot Users have to say about Neverwinter Nights

Neverwinter Nights is not a bad game, but out-of-the-box it is clearly not Bioware's best.
I've played through Neverwinter Nights, but honestly I've come away less than impressed. The problems I had with the game are numerous, and now I remember why I didn't enjoy it several years ago when it was first release... Read Full Review

FAR better than the second part (long review)
Hi! I reviewed NWN2 before this game, but I said it was worse, so well, here comes the review for NWN and I will try to explain why this game is better than the second part. - Story / locations: It focuses heavily... Read Full Review

Huge, Immersive Game with the possibility for endless improvement and customisation.
Neverwinter Nights was a revelation for me. I'd never particularly had much exposure to RPGs and I picked it up after a recommendation from a friend. Thank you friend, thank you. The graphics aren't mind-blowing. They... Read Full Review

Neverwinter Nights is my favorite game of all time. This game offers something for almost every gamer.
Neverwinter Nights' campaign is long and expansive, as well as both the expansion pack's campaigns. Online play, however, is where the real playing time will be logged. There are plenty of amazing servers that are stil... Read Full Review

There's something wrong with a video game when I need a library of rule books to design my character for it.
The move away from the infinity engine wasn't a smart one. I understand the concept was to let others design levels and do the work for them but Morrowind came out at the same time and that's where the real talent went.... Read Full Review

The game to end all games. Great storylines and sophisticated game mechanics make this the last RPG you will ever play.
By far, this game has me coming back over and over again. Not just because the experience changes so much when playing through the campaigns (of both the original game as well as the expansions) with different characters... Read Full Review

A game worth buying and not to be missed, Neverwinter Nights is a classic, and every game owner should get it.
Neverwinter Nights has gotten a lot of gameplay hours from me. My recorded hours are up in the fourteen-hundreds, mostly due to the excellent online Roleplaying communities. The single player is great, the story able to ... Read Full Review

Hordes is a worthy expansion with a grand single-player campaign.
Given my previous grumble with the first expansion, Hordes made me a happy fan of the Neverwinter Nights series again. One of the best features is definitely the Epic upgrade and the whopping level 40 cap. Especially for... Read Full Review

It will be a better gaming experience if it's meant for mid-high levels instead of from scratch again.
I'm not really thrilled with Shadows of Undrentide as it did not build up on the previous game either for character building or gameplay challenge. In fact, your character starts from scratch, which makes leveling up rat... Read Full Review

One of the best RPGs of its time and one of my best RPG experiences!
A Dungeons & Dragons game needs no introduction and Neverwinter Nights improves this pen and paper experience with revolutionary 3D graphics and it's best admired when the game is paused in the middle of a wizard clash w... Read Full Review
