What Gamespot Users have to say about NHL 2K9

A very fun Wii game.
First off, this game is really what I expected from 2k. Their graphics have never been up to par, and they are at about a PS2 level right now. I should know because I have NHL 2K8 for the PS2. But I was very impressed ... Read Full Review

It's simple. NHL 2k9 is not for the casual fan. It's hard, in depth and I have never switched over from the point of 2k2
It's simple. NHL 2k9 is not for the casual fan. It's hard, in depth and I have never switched over from the point I played NHL 2K2. While EA plays better out of the box, there is so much in 2k9 everyone is missing. T... Read Full Review

Another underrated season for 2k9
Never seen such hype for a hockey game like NHL09. Don't get me wrong NHL09 is just as equally great as this year's NHL2k9, but the masses rule over the underrated. Enter 2k9 with simplified controls and realistic gamepl... Read Full Review

Suprisingly good. 2K answers up to some stiff competition with terrific detail and control schemes that matches NHL09.
Most people will dismiss this game as more arcadish as compared to NHL 09 but 2K continues to make up for EAs lack of presentation. By default the game speed is a little to fast and the arenas scale regarding the players... Read Full Review

This game isn't that bad. But if I had an Xbox 360 or PS3 I would have definatly gotten NHL 09.
A pretty good game, but it's probably not as good as NHL 09 is. This is my first NHL game since 2003. I didn't really get into hockey that much till 2 years ago and there weren't any NHL games for Gamecube or Wii that we... Read Full Review

Innovative, yet awkward controllers. Basic features, no online and brutal graphics/presentation.
After years of waiting, wii owners are finally being treated to their first taste of NHL action. Unfortunitly this tasty little treat is going to make you sick. I own a wii and didn't have anything close to high expec... Read Full Review

Not much positive to say about this game except ... finally there is hockey on the Wii.
Not much positive to say about this game except ... finally there is hockey on the Wii. The controls are horrible and can not be customized. You have to use the motion controls with the Wii Remote in the game. Face of... Read Full Review

A few dodgy spot dont ruin a solid game
The competition to put out a game every year has clearly led to cutting some corners. This results in sub par facial likenesses, poor transitions from animation sequences, wooden characters while not in-play and a not... Read Full Review

Can't change view of gameplay, movements are awkward, menu's are painful. Stay away!
I don't know what to do now. I don't like skill stick but I always liked the sliders in 2K. Made the opponent as tough as you wanted and created the most realistic experience for me. So I stuck with 2K 07. No skill s... Read Full Review
