What Gamespot Users have to say about Quake 4

Although it doesn't offer anything revolutionary it is still a solid FPS worth playing
This game I didn't know what to expect when I bought it the last quake game I ever played was quake 2..and I have to say this game really isn't as bad as the reviews say they are STORY: The story takes place rig... Read Full Review

Quake 4 delivers a old school FPS and succeeds in that regard. However, it tries to be something more and falls short.
To me Quake will always be a Doom Clone. Plain and simple - and that's not to say it's a bad thing at all. I have played, and beaten, every Doom and Quake game and enjoyed both series immensely. Quake will always b... Read Full Review

Quake 4 is a fantastic shooter, which falls short of being a true classic.
For the first time ever, a Quake game is not developed in house by id Software. Raven Software, the developers of Soldier of Fortune, were entrusted with the job of creating a new Quake game. The story continues right af... Read Full Review

A great shooter and a spectacular graphics engine to match.
I have to confess that this is my first quake game although this game is a lot popular than I am. What prompted me to buy it was the fact that it was ID software and the Doom 3 engine. This game is just great from beginn... Read Full Review

(Story, Graphics, Gore, Gameplay) X Great
As I started with Quake III Arena - I thought Quake 4 would also turn out to be a deathmatch game. So I did not expect any story in the game...Just cut-throat gory action. But after buying this game and playing it, I ... Read Full Review

Quake 4 is one of the better examples of a sci-fi first-person shooter done right.
I don't think Quake needs any introductions. The series was made up of three games until Quake 4, and all three were quite different. The first two were centered on single-player as much as multiplayer (although their th... Read Full Review

Blood, guts, 'n gears galore!
When I played Quake 4, my computer could barely run it but I still managed to have the satisfaction of needling thousands of hapless Strogg into pulp. Unlike most FPS-s, there is something about Quake 4 that makes it dif... Read Full Review

I wouldn't reccomend this piece of garbage to anyone on the planet.
I got this game in a bargain bin...and I think that I understand why. The game fails on many levels. The weapons all feel stupid. The Hyperblaster, machine gun, and the nail gun all feel the same. Different bullets don't... Read Full Review

In some way, this game is similar to Quake II, except to the lazy multiplayer mode.
Quake 4 is set in the Quake II's universe, continuing the struggle between humans and Stroggs, the latest a hostile alien race. In this First-Person Shooter you play as Kane, a new guy to the Rhino Squad. You're about to... Read Full Review
