What Gamespot Users have to say about Sonic and the Black Knight

This game is terrible on so many levels.
Alright. I got this game at launch, I was so excited. What did I get? A very boring game that I beat in one sitting. Boring gameplay, boring story, and way too easy. Don't buy this. It's such a waste of money. The cu... Read Full Review

A glorious rendition of Sonic w/ a sword!
Ok so beating the game is fun and hard. But then u get past the end and start to unlock things. This is when it gets odd and strange. Well to put it blatantly u have to farm levels until u get a certain ability then u... Read Full Review

Sonic's journey through the realm of king Arthur is short, but it shows to be surprisingly decent.
Sonic and the Black Knight is a continuation of the storybook series previously started by Sonic and the Secret Rings, which was met with mixed results. This time around Sonic Team wanted to focus more on combat with a n... Read Full Review

This game is not what I really expected..
I hate this game because, why the heck would sonic the hedgehog be in a story land with king Arthur? Yes the game is sorta fun for the first few hours then you get bored very soon. Another thing that bothers me like craz... Read Full Review

Great way to give Sonic games a new feel: with swords!
Challenging levels, awesome sound, and a great story make this game amazing. Normally, in Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic is mostly running and dashing, but this game changes all of that with sword techniques being used to def... Read Full Review

Worth Playing if given a try.
In my opinion, this game is being criticized way too much. This game is actually worthwhile. The main gimmick of this game is Sonic carrying a sword, which may sound intimidating but works well with motion control. Peop... Read Full Review

Normally, I'd say a Sonic game released around this time isn't that bad, but I have to agree with everyone here.
Sonic's rough period started with Shadow at the end of 2005, and since then, almost every Sonic game was met with harsh criticism. Hopefully this is now at an end with the huge success of Sonic Colours. Normally, I would... Read Full Review

I hate that sword slashing hedgehog!
When I selected Adventure mode and saw the first cutscene I was impressed. But when I started playing I went insane. The game is disastrous as the controls are crappy and it does not look like you are controlling the char... Read Full Review

Although the controls have been fixed, it doesn't help the monotony of the game.
Sonic and the Black Knight is the sequal to Sonic and the Secret Rings, although neither of the stories relate to each other. The game was okay, the main problems were the controls were frustrating and the voice acting s... Read Full Review

It's what you expect out of a Sonic game, on the Wii that is. Sonic and The Black Knight is worth playing, for a while.
SONIC, SONIC, SONIC. From 2-d to 3-d, it seems that i'll never get tired of his games. To Sonic The Hedgehog to Sonic Unleashed. Sonic starred in some of the most best and flat out bob-ombs ever made. But it seems that o... Read Full Review
