Stunning RPG for players new to the Suikoden world.
I would like to admit before this review begins that, this indeed was my first suikoden game and I am pleased. Now that ive gotten that out of the way, all I can say is brilliant. The 108 stars of destiny kept me comin... Read Full Review

"4th Time's a Charm, a 108 times way"
Konami did it again, the 4th installment was worth the wait... Here it comes, 108 stars back in action. A powerful rune in the hands of the leader and world's fate as well, just like the old installments. S... Read Full Review

Doesn't quite live up to the Suikoden standards.
Suikoden IV is actually a prequel to the previous 3 Suiokden's that have hit the PSX & PS2. Of course, Suikoden II being one of my favorite games of all time. Then there was Suikoden III. Hmmm, my reactions for Suikoden ... Read Full Review

A solid Suikoden game that may appeal more to the hardcore Suikoden fan than the general RPG player.
Before I go into it any further, I would like to point out that I'm a fan of the previous games in the series and I find they are all under-appreciated by the reviewers in general (albeit I never played Suikoden 3, due t... Read Full Review

Decent story, but to many fights
I liked the story and characters. The graphics seemed poorer that Suikoden 3, but I like that we got back control of all our characters in combat and that we had the ability to scroll our vision around in walking/standin... Read Full Review

It may not be the best Suikoden, but it's definitely a great RPG on its own.
The Suikoden series is renowned for it's incredible storylines, 108 playable characters, and enjoyable and exciting battle systems. However, each game over the years has been significantly different from the rest in the... Read Full Review

A fun RPG with a good story, good characters, and great replay value. The Million battles get rough though.
Fun game, good story. It is not for people who do not like RPG's that is for sure. There are a lot of random battles, I average one every 15 seconds when I am at sea. On land it is a little better, but not much, there is... Read Full Review

After Suikoden III, I was expecting much more from Suikoden IV. IV is an ok game, but just that.
I've played all the Suikoden's so its ineveitable that i got this one. I was SO impressed with SUikoden III, i thought it was one of the best RPGs on the PS2. This RPG is just average. The battle system is not so gr... Read Full Review
