What Gamespot Users have to say about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time

The value will depend entirely on how much you like these types of games. Some may get bored, while others will love it.
Turtles in Time: Re-shelled is a tough game to critique. In the case of the '89 arcade game that came out on Xbox Live a while ago, little was changed, so players knew what to expect. In Re-shelled, the improved graphics... Read Full Review

Time has been good to a timeless classic. Now if only we still accepted games that rocked the SNES standards.
Turtles IV was always one of my absolute favorite SNES games and even arcade games growing up. Sure it was repetitious, the sound effects were cheesy (ah the shrieks of pre-pubescent "My Toe!"), and mastering the system ... Read Full Review

a let down!!!
This game had so much promise but in the end didnt deliver. One of the most annoying things of this game is the bosses(shredder in preticular) regenerate a portion of their life when a player dies. This becomes a problem... Read Full Review

Just wasn't what it use to be....
I played the original back in the early to mid 90's. Back then you couldn't get much better then that. The gameplay was solid, it gave hours of fun, and it stayed true to the characters. Ah, just playing as Don was enoug... Read Full Review

Meh... It's Turtles in Time, but there's not much else to it. It's ok, but it could've been so much more.
On the surface, TMNT 2 Re-Shelled looks great, sounds great (each turtle as their own distinct voice track and the music, while not as catchy as the original, is fairly decent), and plays almost EXACTLY like the old Arca... Read Full Review

I was excited when i saw this game was coming to XBLA because Turtles in Time was and still is one of my favorite SNES games. This "Re-shelling" though simply adds flashy visuals while stripping away the fun. The combat ... Read Full Review

If you've any fond memories of TMNT 4 for SNES or arcade DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME! Ubisoft has shamed Konami's masterpiece.
Presentation is everything and the once arcade beauty now looks like a console thrown together game that is not finished. The memorable music such as Neon Night Rider is replaced by forgettable non inspiring tracks. It... Read Full Review

Game is based on classic game play just 3D graphics
TMNT Re-shelled is a game that is fun for children 12 and under. Although myself am 18, I found that the game was fun but just too damn repetitive. The game is simple itself, there are 2 attack buttons and a jump butto... Read Full Review

Just some updated graphics which look clumsy when paired to the old control scheme, some new enemies &short gameplay
For the 800 price tag, they could have added some new game modes, maybe some new levels to go with the new graphics and a new control scheme. But for those who wanted to kick it old school, they could have kept the old g... Read Full Review

Way too short trip to the past.
Turtles in Time Re-Shelled is a remake of the SNES classic from 1992. Gameplay is intact and visuals have seen an update, but everything else in intact and this means that the side scrolling beat'em up genre is starting ... Read Full Review
