What Gamespot Users have to say about Tropico 3

Honestly, for all the complicated stuff there is to do, the game is pretty shallow after a few hours.
This is certainly not what I had in mind when I read the Gamespot review. I expected this whole situation of political turmoil where I was ready to be overthrown by the government at any minute, and where I had to liter... Read Full Review

The good news is it's the same game we fell in love with back in 2001. The bad news is it's almost exactly the same.
It was eight years ago that the gentle strains of guitar strings brought us into the new worlds of Tropico. PopTop Software gave gamers a new angle on the real-time strategy genre by introducing a slower, more methodica... Read Full Review

If you're new to the series, this is a definite must-buy. But if you've played Tropico 1 and/or 2, this feels bland.
First off, I played Tropico 1 before. It was a total blast. I love Sim City series but Tropico is something different altogether. What Tropico (purposely) lacks in scale, it makes up much more in micromanagement and poli... Read Full Review

Fun and well detailed, but misses the chance to inherit the simcity legacy because of lack of depth and freedom
I dont play citybuilders since simcity 4, and it came natural to me comparing Tropico to it. I never player the previous tropico's, so i didnt expect anything more than i read on reviews online. after completing the t... Read Full Review

Tropico 3's Fidelismo Fun might not be revolutionary, but the bullets, bananas, and ballot boxes will keep you busy.
we love the style and premise of this game. definitely think it's an above average city builder-tourist tycoon-political strategy game. it's addictive, fun to look at, and has a fairly large re-playability factor. some p... Read Full Review
