What Gamespot Users have to say about Unreal II: The Awakening

Oh, bless it's little heart. Underrated, maybe?
This game reminds me of the idiot sibling you hide in your closet when people come over, but then when they're gone, you pull him out for laughs. I honestly enjoyed this game. The graphics were a bit muddy, and the cha... Read Full Review

A decent sequel to a great game that simply doesn't even try to capture what made the original revolutionary.
Unreal was a revolutionary game that came out in 1998 and gave players an action filled adventure that took a good amount of time to complete. Unreal II arrived a few years later and manages to not only have very little ... Read Full Review

Absolutely unmissable! FPS fans, this is for you!!!!
When i played this, i was awed, when i finished it, i couldn't speak. This is one of the best games i have ever played! PERIOD! Using the legendary Unreal 2 engine, the game brings you along a fantasy storyline bas... Read Full Review

Not the best but still fun
Yes - Halo & Halo 2, Doom 3 and Farcry leave this one standing - but its still a fun game to play. Got myself a 2nd-hand copy so didn't pay full price (and wouldn't have!!) - but its still a FPS (one of the two types ... Read Full Review

After buying the brilliant UT2004 I figured that a single-player Unreal was a must.
The visuals in Unreal 2 are just magnificent. Shadows and lighting effects are very good, and the draw distance are breath taking (especially in the sniper mission). The sounds are also very good, and the voice overs ... Read Full Review

Huge disapointment! Pass this one up!
It's just not very good, I wasn't thrilled with the level of gameplay, graphics are alright though, story was disapointing. Things I did like: I liked the vehicles and hijacking them when online, which online was necess... Read Full Review

A bad port of an average PC FPS.
I thought the Xbox was supposed to get GOOD ports of PC games? I know Unreal II wasn't the greatest first person shooter to grace the earth, but it was a good one. After booting up the Xbox version, you will notice how l... Read Full Review

Unreal 2 is a broken experience as far as ports go, look for a different port like Doom 3 instead of this embarresment.
Unreal 2 The Awakening is a port from the PC version that was released about a year ago, and is now available for the xbox. Sadly this game is far worse than its PC counterpart and lacks multiplayer options, a short camp... Read Full Review

OK game showing of the unreal 2 engine. There's is some good variety in mission types and enemy types. Bargain bin!
Finishing Unreal 2: The Awakening I am glad I didn't buy this one when it was just out. At the start there wasn't even multiplayer which makes that the short singleplayer campaign doesn't give good value for money. I eve... Read Full Review

Not anything like the PC version
I don't know where to start. It's like taking the Unreal 2 for PC, a game with great graphics and average gameplay. Then dunk it a few times in a pool of urine. The result will be Unreal 2: The Awakening for Xbox. No... Read Full Review
