What Gamespot Users have to say about Velvet Assassin

One of the worst "stealth" games ever made.
I am reviewing this in order to save people from foolishly spending money on. This is a tragic game, that it capitalizes on people that probably enjoyed the Hitman series, or the first installments of Tom Clancy's Sam Fi... Read Full Review

Atmospheric and tense 3rd person World War II film noir espionage stealth game, rich in detail and with a sepia tone.
Welcome to the dark side ... infiltrate enemy installations, eliminate enemy guards with extreme prejudice and above all complete the mission. Call of Duty and Medal of Honour took you to the front lines, Velvet Assassin... Read Full Review

Bad gameplay but good story!
The story wasn't bad because I heard that a person like velvet assassin really existed and she was executed by over dozing morphine to her in 1944 the stealth system was old and boring! The guns she had and their power... Read Full Review

Short and sweet, could be better.
Checking out the stealth games, I came upon Velvet Assassin. Not the best game ever, but it has some cool concepts and game play. The graphics are nice and crisp. This is one of the most critical parts of a game to l... Read Full Review

Low, tiring, difficult. Thus resumes "Velvet Assassin", one game that you both expect and think that will be spectacular, and when you play, you could fall in disappointment. The gameplay of this game is stressfu... Read Full Review

I really wanted to love this game, not for it's sexy heroine in her tighter than skin outfit, or the fact that the game allows me to kill, rather brutally, the one thing I love killing more than Zombies, but because it w... Read Full Review

Velvet Assassin comes across as another 'me too' game. It isn't bad, but also isn't a much of a stand out title.
Velvet Assassin isn't a bad game, however it isn't particularly good either. It is a solid stealth game that sets it's own rules that are easy to learn and follow. On the other hand, it really doesn't have any unique asp... Read Full Review

Velvet Assassin does a good job as a first person sneaker but largely felt unrefined with certain elements and story
Velvet Assassin does a pretty good job as a first person sneaker but largely felt unrefined with certain gameplay elements and storyline. I love first person sneakers since my first introduction to the Thief series a... Read Full Review

Rock Hard, but good fun if you have the time and patience.
Firstly if you have an itchy trigger finger, and like to rampage through a game guns blazing, and don't like stealth, then don't play this game, your better off playing Call Of Duty, but if you do like challenging stealt... Read Full Review
