Yakuza is a fun fighting game that has both positive and negative features.
First off, this is no Grand Theft Auto clone, in fact, GTA is totally different from this game. The only thing that the Grand Theft Auto series has a similarity to in this game is the free travel at free time. Other then... Read Full Review

Decent gameplay, worth playing. I reccomend you rent it.
This game looks good, there's no doubt about that. But the gameplay gets repetitive, and the fighting system isn't indulging enough. You'll find people running up to you for no apparent reason, dropping a few F-Bombs, an... Read Full Review

An extremely fun game which is very underated at the same time...
Yakuza is known somewhat in Japan as... the GTA killer. However, that isn't exactly true. Developped by Sega with its reference from the Shenmue series, Yakuza is set in a world of Japanese Mafia. You take the role as Ka... Read Full Review

A game annoyingly interuppted by video game movies.
I don't know if it was just me but I could pause out of the movies that were played in between everything you did in this game. To me that dropped the value of the game greatly. I played for close to an hour and only go... Read Full Review

Tekken meets Grand Theft Auto.
Punch them. Whack them. Break their faces. What more do you want? Think of Yakuza as Tekken meets GTA. There is an open world to explore and almost all of the shops you can enter without the hassle of loading times. All ... Read Full Review

Pretty solid and entertaining story, interesting gameplay that starts to lose its freshness but is still great.
Although it's not spectacular, Yakuza is a solid entry to the PS2 lineup. It has a compelling story (which is for the most part devoid of those awkward video game storytelling moments that make you cringe) and even thou... Read Full Review

Lots of loading, Repetitive gameplay . . .
I just stopped playing the game after having spent 12 hours going through the main quest and some of the side missions. And to be honest, so far it didn't look that good a game. The graphics are good (not great) and the ... Read Full Review
